“Thank you, Drew.I…” She shrugged.“Be safe.”
Drew had a sick feeling he was missing something, but he didn’t know what.He didn’t have time to deal with it, so he would when he got back.
His driver drove him out to the country, where the family had one of their warehouses. It looked like a dilapidated barn, inside and out, but the underground warehouse would be next to impossible to find. It’s where they stored the guns and ammunition, high-dollar booze, and even some drugs. They personally never used them, but they came in handy once in a while.
It was also the place they brought the people they wanted to keep longer than a few hours before they killed them.It was almost impossible to gain entry to the stairs that took you to the underground place, and only the Maclean men knew the combination.
The place was state-of-the-art, with special cameras and sensors.Alastair and Grahm got the signal if anyone was in or around the barn. There was even a sensor at the end of the driveway. The place took a year to build because they had to use their own men, but it was exactly what Angus had wanted for privacy.Sadly, he hadn’t been there to see it because he had a stroke before it was finished.
Drew parked behind the barn where a few cars and the van already were.Alastair wasn’t there yet, but he figured he needed to see for himself that Beth was okay.He had been tempted to stay with Nala for a bit before coming, but he was anxious to talk to the bastard.
He put in the code, and the door opened. He went in and closed it before descending the stairs. He glanced at each room on the way to the back where they would keep Clayton. He wasn’t surprised to see Blake there. One of the family had to be there to open the door.He also saw the three stooges, the men who followed him and were his friends.
“Hey, man, I’m glad this worked out,” Blake said.“Alastair is traumatized, but he’ll get over it.”
They all laughed because Alastair would never show that kind of weakness. He pulled off his coat and handed it to one of them.
“We gagged him because we couldn’t take his whining anymore,” Vance said.
“I can imagine.I knew he was a weak fucker.Only weak men hurt the innocents. You’re not man enough to take on a real man,” Drew said as he rolled up his sleeves.“Take the gag out.”
One of the men pulled the cloth from the guy’s mouth.
He immediately started whimpering.
“Listen, I’ll give you whatever you want,” Clayton said.
Drew shook his head.“The only thing I want is to see you in pain.Just like you put Nala through.”
“She’s lying.”
Clayton grunted when Drew punched his face.
“You’re the liar.I’ve seen every part of her body, so I know the things you did to her.”
“I love her,” Clayton said.
Drew punched the guy in the gut, making him wheeze.“You fucker, you didn’t love her, you loved tormenting her.Is it because you couldn’t get it up to fuck her?”
“It’s not that.I’m not into raping women.”
Drew snorted.“That’s because you’re a disgusting pedophile. You like young boys. That’s why you couldn’t get it up with Nala.”
Drew felt the energy and hostility in the room rise.He looked around at the other men in the room and saw the same disgust.“Nala told me you’d take them and play with them for a few days and then drop them off.I asked why you didn’t kill them, and she said you wanted them to remember you for the rest of their lives.”
“That’s fucked up,” Blake said.
“Oh, he’ll get the feel of what it’s like to be raped,” Drew said.
“No, wait.Please…”
“You’re not going to get out of here alive,” Drew said.“In the meantime, we’re going to have some fun with you. We’re going to show you the pain you’ve caused so many people.I just wish we could do that for a few years like Nala had to endure.”
He loved to see the man burst into tears. He wanted him to know the type of fear he put Nala and the boys through.
Chapter Twenty-One
Drew turned when he heard footsteps, knowing it was Alastair.
