“You got it, Boss,” Hayes said and hung up.

Drew got on the phone and called John.

“Yes,” John said.

Drew thought the man never slept because it didn’t matter what time of day or night he called John.He always picked it up within three rings and always sounded alert.

“I’d like you to set up some cameras for me in a woman’s apartment. She goes to work at one of our clubs at seven tonight and doesn’t get off until one, so you have plenty of time.”

“Where would you like them set?”

“Everywhere.”

“Even the bathroom?”

Drew thought about it for a moment.“Yes.”

“Do you want the feed to go directly to your phone?”

“That sounds good.”

“Would you want them motion-activated?”John asked.

“Yes,” Drew said. That way, he wouldn’t have to check every few minutes to see if she was there.

There was a knock at the door of his office.

“Come in,” he put a hand over the phone and called out.He turned back to his call with the head of security.“Call me when it’s done.”

“You got it, Boss.”

Drew hung up as one of his brothers, Gavin, sat in a chair on the opposite side of his desk.

This was the brother he worried about the most. He’d taken their mother’s betrayal harder than he and Ethan did.Gavin had turned hard overnight and wouldn’t talk about what happened or their mother.

Drew admitted to himself there were a few nights when he’d sat at his desk and gotten drunk after his mother was killed. No one knew her at all.To think that his mother had been a serial killer his whole life still made him question himself. Why hadn’t he seen any signs of her demented mind? The only thing that helped was that no one else saw it either.

The only thing that kept him going after her death was his need to be strong for his brothers. He was part of the Maclean mafia family, so he knew never to show any weaknesses.

“What’s up?”Drew asked.

“I need to know what to do about the sale?”

He and Gavin went over the buying of another warehouse. This one they would use for legal products, and his brother was dealing with it.

“Is it going through?”Drew asked.He didn’t see a problem.

“It’s not finalized. The man selling is being a prick.”

“How?”

Gavin scowled.“He’s hem-hawing about the price again.”

“We already came to an agreement. Why does he think we will change it?Does he not know who we are?”

“The man isn’t from around here. The warehouse belonged to a client who lives in California. He’s just here for this sale.”

“What do you want to do?”Drew asked.
