“Show me your tits, and I can fuck you again.” He licks his lips as I pull my skirt down.

“Where are we?” I ask.

“At your apartment.”

I sigh, relieved. “Good. Bye. Don’t call me.” I grab the door handle and try to open it, but he reaches for me, and turns my head back to look at him with his hand on my chin.

“No goodbye kiss? No, ‘thank you for making me scream’? No, ‘no other man has fucked me like that before’?” he asks.

I pause. And smirk.

“No goodbye kiss. And yes, I’ve been fucked with more passion and more cock before. But I would at least rate you in my top ten.”

His grip on my chin loosens, and I take that moment to climb out of the car.

Asshole.

I seem to use that word a lot, but it’s so damn descriptive.

CHAPTER17

Crue

“Top ten,” I mutter. “Top ten, my ass.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Angel asks as she slides on her shoes.

“Angel,” Dominic warns, but she merely rolls her eyes before she walks out the door, one of our men going with her. A pang of irritation sparks in me, knowing she’s going to see Rya when it should be me instead. But I had to agree to Rya’s terms. I can let her think I’m giving up, but I have every intention of making her my wife. She just needs to come to that realization, and the sooner, the better.

“Why are you muttering about a top ten?” Dominic asks, taking a seat next to me. He hands me a stack of paperwork and a pen.

More shit to sign.

It’s been a few hours since I dropped Rya off, and she told me I’m in her top ten.

She said it to get under my skin. I know it.

“What’s this?” I ask, holding up the forms.

He points to the first one. “The families are asking about your marriage. When it will be done.”

“Fuck the families,” I grumble.

“This is the extra ownership you get when you marry.” He points to a section on the paper that describes extremely lucrative businesses. Ones I have wanted but haven’t been able to gain access to yet.

Only when I marry will they be mine.

“Now, why are you grumbling about a top ten?”

I scan the paperwork. There’s nothing there that I haven’t already memorized. That I know will soon be mine by rights.

I want all of this right now.

The founding families signed this contract. The businesses I’ve been wanting to manage are now within reach. It’s so close I can feel it. And with Rya standing beside me as the most powerful woman—we will be untouchable.

“It’s something Rya said,” I grit out.

“Do you really think you can get her to agree to marry you? She hasn’t been in our world for a long time.”
