“I’m not sure my words do it justice.” My cheeks warmed, and I squirmed in my chair. “The girls will be furious about this, but I’m not sure I want to share in the forums on that level anymore.”

Bibi tipped her head, her lilac lips turn into a concerned frown. “What’s changed? Is it because of what happened with Zoe and Destiny?”

After the experience they’d had, it was no big surprise they’d left town as soon as production could book flights for them.

“Not that, even though it’s honestly kind of a relief that they’re gone.” I couldn’t believe I said that out loud. “Lars and I have been through so much on this episode, it’s not like this far-flung fantasy to be with him anymore. He’s my mate. He chose me to spend forever with. It’s different. We don’t need to share everything with everyone. He’s mine.”

“You’ve fallen in love with him.”

“Yeah.” I had totally fallen for Bigfoot.

“Armand is still at large, but I don’t think we’ll be hearing from him about more dates,” she said.

I rolled my eyes, since my hands were under construction. I’d done a cute French-style design with different shades of purple tips. “He better not dare.”

“But he is still a threat. I’m sure he won’t be the last. The endangered species declaration will keep hunters away from Lars, but wild beasts are a different story. Are you prepared for that?”

“As much as I can be. All shifters have some drama.” But the truth was, I was a little scared. I’d gotten comfy in Bibi’s boudoir, and before that in my luxury chalet suite. “It’ll be a whole different way of life.”

“I think tonight’s date is a great idea, and you’ll have to incorporate more of your favorite things into your daily life, that’s all.” Bibi grinned. “Lars seems very willing to try new things when it comes to you.”

“And that’s why he’s so amazing.” Since it was a rare moment without the cameras, I had to get the tea. “So you and Hugo…”

Bibi’s cheeks pinked.

“Whoa.” My mouth hung open as the color intensified. “Things seem to have taken a turn.”

“They have. And I couldn’t be more thrilled about it. Once your episode is done, we’ll finally take that trip to Vegas we’ve been talking about.”

“I’m so happy for you.” If anyone deserved love, it was Bibi. She did everything to make everyone else’s lives better. “We’ll have to plan some cute double dates.”

“I’d love that.” She sighed. “I really wish I could’ve helped Calista, and it hurts my heart that I couldn’t.”

“You have a wolf who’s head over heels in love with you, so you obviously made the right choice.” My nails were done and I wiggled them in front of my face for approval. “I wouldn’t give up on Calista yet. We might still find her.”

“I don’t want you to worry about anything but your date tonight.” Bibi had her nails done in this cool iridescent deep purple that looked blue or teal depending on the lighting. “I need to take my own advice, don’t I? To live in the moment.”

As much as I admired Bibi, I certainly didn’t envy her. There was no convincing her she couldn’t fix Calista—even if she wasn’t here.

But I had a feeling that getaway with Hugo would make her forget about any other wolf.

Just because I didn’t want to share every intimate detail of my life on the forums anymore didn’t mean I planned to abandon them completely. After our spa day and a visit to the glam squad, I was feeling hella cute, and it seemed like the right time to go live.

“Hi! I’m so glad so many of you are here.” The chat was already going crazy. “Didn’t know if it had been too long since I’d last been here, and if you’d given up on me. I have a couple minutes before my last date with Lars, so I thought I could pop in and answer some questions. Looks like you have a lot of them.”

What they couldn’t see wasThe Mating Gamecrew on the other side of the camera. They were watching the chat and sending me the popular questions and anything that was worth addressing.

It wasn’t just Marissa and Tina like it usually was. Bibi was going through every single comment, hoping that someone might say something about Calista. Maybe that Calista herself might pop in and say something.

“What have I learned from this episode? Huh, didn’t expect everyone to get philosophical right out of the gate.” I laughed, giving myself a moment to think about my answer. “The obvious answer is nothing is as it seems, but the real lesson is knowing how precious it is to find real friends that actually have your back.”

I waited for the next question to come. “What happened to Armand? So he withheld some really important and gross information, and it turns out he was a bad dude—okay, another lesson, my bad boy era is so over.”

I looked over the screen to see Bibi give me a thumbs up on that answer.

“You’ve heard a rumor that Lars is back in his natural form?” I waggled my brows at the camera. “He so is.”
