He bends down and trails his tongue across my throat and his mouth closes on my shoulder lightly. He lifts up enough to whisper, “It’s never too much.”
Then he grinds harder and his hips snap faster. He dips his head and his teeth close on my shoulder biting it and all those sensations trigger my body.
I jerk and moan, falling over the precipice and rushing towards the ground. I scream and thrash, waves of unending, overwhelming pleasure sucking at me, tearing me apart.
Shuddering, he falls across my body and I feel his dick jerk inside me and warm, wet heat hits my spasming pussy walls causing another jerky round of ecstasy to wash over me.
Like a wild animal he snarls and rolls so that I’m sprawled across his big, sweaty body.
He pushes the hair out of my eyes gently and smirks. “I told you it would be fine.”
I smile. “And it was. So fine.” My words are slurred and my eyes drift closed, exhaustion from my dream-filled night and the unfamiliar aches and pains wracking my body right now completely washing over me.
The last thing I remember is a soft kiss on my forehead and I swear he whispered, “I love you,” in my ear just before I slipped under for the last time, smiling and more relaxed than I think I ever have been.
CHAPTER 8
Cannon
Idon’t know what’s wrong. It’s been a couple of weeks and Beth has been avoiding me. I know she still feels something for me because I have managed to tempt her into bed with me a few more times. But I’m getting frustrated because she’s dodging me now.
I storm up the steps to the library, ready to throw an ever-loving fit if my woman doesn’t let me take her home. Now.
But when I open the door and step inside, I don’t see her behind the desk. Instead, another pretty girl is sitting there and her eyes sparkle when she sees me.
I stop in front of her and attempt a smile even though I think it probably looks a little bit like a serial killer. I’m too annoyed to do much more than that.
“Where is Beth Lange?”
Her face falls. “Oh…ummm, she didn’t come back from lunch so they asked me to stay. I’m usually only here in the morning for the kiddie hours.” She perks up and hands me a scrap of paper. “Here. If you give me your number, I’ll get back to you when we hear something.”
Shaking my head, I back away from the counter. “That’s alright. I know her number.”
She frowns but I don’t pay any attention to her or what she wants. I know that she went to work this morning. Unless she lied.
But why would she lie? She doesn’t need to do that. I’m a big boy and I can take it if she’s rethinking our relationship. I just want her to be honest and give me a chance to talk to her.
It doesn’t make any sense. Beth’s shy and sweet but she’s not scared of me. She’s a little firecracker when she needs to be. There’s no way she wouldn’t just tell me whatever the hell she wanted to come hell or high water.
I head towards the diner where Beth likes to get lunch most times. But when I walk in the door there’s two old ladies in a booth in the corner gabbing. Both look up at me but then they immediately go back to chatting.
The waitress at the counter smiles at me, her blue eyes sparkling with humor. “You’ve got your choice of seats today if you’re hungry.”
I shake my head. “I’m actually looking for my girlfriend. She might have had lunch here today.”
She stands up and cocks her head at me. “What’s her name? I’ve been here all day.”
“Beth Lange.”
She smiles at me. “Yeah. You’re her man.” Her eyes drift down but with a humorous smirk. “She mentioned you. I think she left a few things out.”
Chuckling, I stroll over to her. I hold out my hand. “I’m Cannon Reed.”
Her eyes narrow and her mouth tightens. “Reed?”
Another fan of my nephew. “Yeah. He’s my nephew. But we’re not that close.”
She nods her head but seems to give me the benefit of the doubt. “She was here but she left two hours ago.”
