Rahael dropped beside me like a dead fish, and Lazarus covered me like a firehose. I laughed and sputtered as he managed to get my face. He grinned down at me, winking, and picked Rahael’s body up with a fistful of hair to bring his face to my stomach. “Clean your mess, sweetheart.”
Rahael’s tongue met my skin and goosebumps broke out. He was more like a mop, his tongue cleaning up our combined cum as Laz moved him over my body.
Perfect morning.
Well, it might have been perfect, except that Tatum wasn’there when we finally went downstairs. She’d already left for work.
“That’s what you get for fucking around in bed,” Aden said with a grin.
I glowered at him, falling onto the stool beside him. He wrapped an arm around me, pulling me close, and then kissed my cheek. “That’s from Tatum. She wanted to make sure you got a kiss too, even though you were otherwise occupied.”
A grin spread across my face. Aden looked at me with amusement. “She kissed you to kiss me?” I asked.
He shrugged. “Yeah. Right there.” He kissed my cheek again.
“So… you two are?—”
“Tobiael,” Hadrian warned.
“I’m just asking!” I insisted.
Aden laughed. “Just let it be,” he said quietly. “Don’t worry about me. I like Tatum and I definitely want her here to be our wife. But as far as the kind of relationship she and I share? I need time. We’re not in a hurry.”
I wrapped him up in my arms, making him laugh. “I just don’t want you to feel left out,” I said. Last night changed a lot of things. I thought everyone kind of knew Aden would be good with Tatum here and thus, we let the relationship escalate. Something I think Aden wanted to see happen since he went to bed first. “I never want you to feel out of place.”
He twisted in my arms until he was facing me. “I love you too,” he said and pressed his forehead to mine. “I love that you’re always looking out for everyone’s needs and comfort. But I promise you, I’m good. I’m happy. Tatum is our wife. If you truly leave this in my hands and move at my speed, it might be a very long time before we get to have our wife truly. I’m telling you plainly that you can progress in whatever way feels natural. I’ll catch up.” He shrugged. “Or I won’t and we’ll have a different kind of relationship. Either way, I swear to you, I’m 1000% on board.”
I trusted he was telling the truth. Out of everyone in thehouse, Aden was more in tune with his needs and boundaries than the rest of us. He was far more self-aware than we were, but I assumed that came from the life he left behind.
If that could even be called a life.
Shoving those thoughts away so I wasn’t irritated for the rest of the day, I hugged Aden tightly. “Okay,” I said. “Although, I also can’t be in charge of the speed which we progress. I think I’d have her back here and in a wedding dress by this afternoon.”
He laughed.
The doorbell rang, but I remained where I was. Wrapped around my single human husband as I gazed into his dark eyes. I thought he held a special place in each of our hearts. Aden wasn’t weak. He wouldn’t have survived the life he lived for so long had he been. But to us, he was soft and precious. Not because he was human, but because he held so much hurt within him.
We were all particularly happy that he chose to remain our househusband instead of doing something that took him outside the house. Here, he was safe and cared for. We could spoil him until the sky fell and all he had to worry about was what he planned to wear that day.
“I thought we were at the Malaks. Not the Nashes.”
I looked up to see Calix giving us a bemused look.
“I’m not sure if you’re aware, but it’s healthy to show affection to those you love,” I said.
He chuckled. “You ready, angel?”
My eyebrows knitted together. “For what?”
“I swear, it’s like we’re the last priority for this man,” Idris said, sighing.
Hadrian kissed Aden’s forehead and gently pushed him off my lap. “Let’s go, Toby. Time to shop.”
“For what?” I asked. “I think youthinkyou tell me things, but never really do!”
“Baby shower shopping,” Ellis said, beaming at me.
Yeah, no. I definitely didn’t know about this. “Who’s having a baby?” I asked as we moved to the car.
