“I need a minute… to regain my energy. Doing thePurefire… takes a lot out of us,” he said.

“You need to fuck?” I asked.

He nodded. “I’m sure… you can see… the problem.”

“And why you only used it in an emergency? Come with me,” I said, then I scooped Tylendel in my arms and leaped off the building. My sons followed me as we raced through the streets. Dragons, wolves, and vampires were fighting everywhere. Bodies and body parts scattered the city streets that were also slick with blood. So much blood. I looked up to see more vampires flying and landing. I’d never been in a war this relentless. The only other dragon Knight in New Haven was Vex, and he was busy in Marco’s district. If he had to use hisPurefire, how drained would he be? Damn it! Curse Alexander and his fucking horde. I had to get Tylendel somewhere safe so he could recharge. I made it to one of the sanctuaries and gave Tylendel over to Noel to hold. I then attacked the vampires there who were blocking the entrance trying to get in.

Once I thinned the herd, Noel, Somchai, and I ran inside and Horace locked the entrance behind us.

“My Prince,” Horace greeted, his head bowed, two swords in each hand. This wasn’t his district, but he was one of three Lords old enough to stay awake during the day. They had to go where they were needed.

“Tylendel has to fuck you and my sons. Do it now,” I commanded.

Horace blinked, stammered, but nodded. “Y-yes, my Prince,” he said, then approached us.

Tylendel had reverted back to his human form and Somchai and Noel quickly began removing their clothes and his pants, leaving his armor on. Noel took Tylendel’s cock into his mouth just as Tylendel closed his lips around Somchai’s erection.

“Holy shit!” Somchai belted out, then shivered in pleasure.

“Enjoy,” I said, then turned. “I have to go to Ara. Join me when you’re done.” With that command, I left, using the other hidden entrance to the sanctuary. I wondered if Ara was all right? I’d find out soon enough.

Islicedmyswordthrough another vampire dumb enough to attack me. I had a Knight with me, I’d sent the others to protect the rest of my territory, my female dragons, and one to Elijah. Giancarlo stayed by Elliot and me as we fought off the army of vampires who attacked me at my own fucking palace. Elliot was like a madman with his broadsword. I’d seen him fighting in his beast form, but never in his human form, and his energy was still the same. He was smiling as he killed the vampires who came at him.

Since we knew wolfsbane hurt them, all of our weapons had been coated in it and our shields. Our arrow tips had all been coated in wolfsbane. My dragons, who were immune to the effects, had their armor and clothes drenched in the wolfsbane water. Water balloons had been filled with the solution and I watched in satisfaction as the balloons broke on the vampires, burning their skin in the process. Dragons sprayed a mixture of wolfsbane and silver dust liquid at them, which also dissolved their flesh and once writhing in pain, they were easier to kill.

They made a huge mistake coming here and I would make them pay.

“Motherfuckers!” I heard Elliot yell, then roar as he ran toward another vampire and they clashed, swords striking so fast and hard, sparks flew.

“My Liege, stay close,” I heard Giancarlo urge.

We were in the backyard of my palace, the open space giving us the advantage we needed to raise hell. I had on my armor and had transformed into my strongest form. I was able to move as freely as I could when I was in my human form, but now I was faster and more agile as well as stronger.

Another two vampires came at me from both sides and I slashed the throat of one with my claws and the other with my sword. Giancarlo finished them off, taking both of their heads with the skill of his sword that was made from dragon bone, which sliced through these vampires like butter.

Giancarlo went to help Elliot, but he pushed him off. “He’s mine!” my mate yelled and continued to fight a vampire that had to be stronger than the majority. The force that came at us was dwindling and their bodies were scattered on my blood-soaked lawn. I watched as Hexon killed about ten vampires at one time, his skill and speed no match for them. He didn’t even need fire or dragon lust to take them out. Hell, his hair was still in place. Damn. Valier was another one who was unstoppable, thousands and thousands of years behind every move ensured their victory. The vampires who attacked me, I was certain, were not prepared to fight my dragons who were all immune to their wolf venom.

Since the fight was dying down, I watched Elliot finally get the advantage on his opponent. He ducked low, then lunged forward, knocking the vampire off his feet. He pounced on him, plunging his sword into the vampire’s back, and twisted the blade as the vampire screamed. His body went still and Elliot climbed off him.

“Fucker was strong,” Elliot proclaimed with a wide grin.

“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself,” I grumbled.

“Awww, don’t be mad at me, baby. You know I need a spot of violence every now and then,” Elliot said, then he walked up to me, kissing me. He was covered in blood, as was I, but he looked extra happy about it.

I kissed him back, then pulled away and looked at Giancarlo. “Are there anymore?”

He shook his head. “A thousand came, my Liege. I don’t see any more.”

“Make sure they are all dead throughout my lands,” I commanded.

He bowed. “Yes, my Liege.”

“I need to check on Elijah,” Elliot said.
