“I see.” I snuggle up my behind to him, feeling his hard shaft pressing into my ass.Oh.I move my ass against his cock, but he just growls and squeezes my shoulder.

“Don’t do that,” he snarls. “Unless you want me to fuck you all day long.”

“And what if I do?”

He sighs. “You need sleep, little monster. Sleep, and then I’ll fuck you.”

I smile as my eyes begin to drift closed. “Promise?”

I feel him nod. “Always.”

CHAPTERSEVENTEEN

Theo

Once Harlow fallsinto a deep sleep, I carefully climb out of bed and pull my tie off, discarding it on the floor. Glancing down, I realize with a pang that Brenda is dead. There’s no one to pick up after me anymore. Sighing, I grab the clothes and place them in the bag for dry cleaning. I suppose I’ll have to find another house manager at some point. I glance back at Harlow one last time before shutting the door and walking down the stairs in my socks.

I’m so fucking tired, but I have so much work to do. If I die early, it’ll be because I don’t get enough sleep.

The guys are all hanging out in my kitchen.

“Sure, help yourselves,” I joke, walking to the refrigerator and grabbing a bottle of sparkling water.

Gideon snorts. “I haven’t eaten since before we knew Harlow was missing.”

“Same,” Alaric says.

“You want to borrow some clothes?” I ask him. He must be going out of his mind wearing a dirty suit.

“Please.”

I nod and walk to my utility room, where I grab a shirt and shorts for him to wear. Tossing the clothes to him, I point to the bathroom off of the kitchen.

“You can shower in there.”

He grins. “You’ve read my mind.”

As he walks away, I stare down at the floor for a few seconds.

“You look knackered,” Gideon says, eyeing me up and down.

I shrug. “It was a long couple of days.”

“You should sleep,” Sterling says from his place at the breakfast bar. He’s eating some oatmeal, while Gideon is digging into a bag of crisps.

“I don’t have time to sleep.”

They’re both quiet after that. There’s no arguing. This job isn’t easy, and it sure as hell doesn’t stop. I already spend an hour every morning catching up on what I missed while I got my nightly four hours of sleep.

Like I said, I was probably going to die prematurely because of it.

After I finish my leftover roast dinner–something I ordered in, because again, Brenda was dead–I clear my throat and take a sip of water.

“We missed a few of them.”

Sterling stills. “Acadia?”

I nod. “They fled after the first safehouse raid. They’re currently regrouping somewhere in Poland. They’ve overhauled their entire system, and I can’t locate them.”
