Page 100 of Reckless Hate

It was Friday night. After a long, mind-blowing session of sex, she was exhausted. But her enemy looked as though he was prepared for a nightlong marathon.

He stared down from the top of her. “Oh, come on, Sam. We can’t remain in this room hidden forever.”

She glared at him. “You are hardly hiding. You were chatting with Anita in the living room when I returned.”

He smirked. “I was bored. My basketball practice ended early today. I was telling Anita that Rudra and his gang will never bother her again. Gave him a small warning today. And I was also giving Anita some advice to lure a dude she apparently likes.”

She rolled her eyes. She knew Ved’s ‘small warning’ consisted of punching the other guy in the cafeteria. She had seen it happen. And her shy roommate did have a crush on some guy.

“Oh, by the way,” her enemy said. “Ava was saying something about planning a triple date next week. Ava, Nami and you with Abhi, Rana and me. Did you tell her about us?”

Her heart jerked. “No! I agreed to meet her for lunch or dinner. Not with you and your cousins.”

He grinned. “Too late, babe. I think Ava’s already excited and planning an elaborate evening with games and stuff. Apparently, she wants us to get close.” He wiggled his eyebrows in a deliberate way before pushing his hips against hers while they were still joined together. “If only she knew how close we already are.”

Samantha’s cheeks heated. She wanted to push him away, but she was too content. Grinning, he rolled them until she lay on top of him.

“No one is going to see us,” he said. “It’ll be the same as when we went on the beach date. Except, we’ll spend the time at the beach house.”

She was badly tempted. She wanted to go as well, but she worried about getting in too deep with her enemy. Although a voice inside her said it was too late.

“How many hookups did you take to the beach house?” she asked.

There was a pause. “Plenty,” he lied.

A small laugh burst out of her. “Fine,” she replied. “Let’s go. But I need to be back tomorrow. I… have some work.” She didn’t have much to do, but she didn’t want to spend an intimate weekend with her enemy at his family guest house.

“Yup. We’ll be back tomorrow morning. I promise.”

As usual, her enemy broke his promise.

They rode to the beach house and spent the rest of the night there. But next morning, when she wanted to head back, her enemy lounged back on the bed that overlooked the ocean from a huge window.

“Let’s spend the rest of the day here. I am feeling a bit exhausted to ride back now.”

She glared at him. “You go on four-hour bike rides with your cousins and friends.”

He shrugged. “Maybe I’m coming down with something.”

She narrowed her eyes. He looked perfectly fine, energetic even, considering they just had sex on the beach house deck and then again in the bedroom.

He made a show of yawning and stretching. “I feel so exhausted and a bit hungry too. Can you make us some breakfast? I think there might be a few things in the fridge.”

Knowing he wouldn’t budge easily, she decided to fix breakfast before she insisted again that they should head back.

She went into the kitchen which looked sparkling clean. When she opened the refrigerator, she saw that her enemy had lied. There weren’t ‘a few things’ in there. It was stacked to the brim with fresh produce that would last for at least a week.

The bastard was prepared to spend the weekend at the beach house.

Annoyed while also exasperated by the jerk’s deviousness, she took out the eggs tray and a few vegetables to fix them breakfast. She made a six-egg omelet on a small stove while turning on the coffee machine that also had well-stocked coffee bags. She placed three-fourths of the omelet on her enemy’s plate along with two slices of bread, knowing he had a huge appetite.

“Hmm… smells good in here,” he said.

She glared at him. “Why is the fridge well-stocked?” she demanded.

He blinked innocently. She wanted to roll her eyes at his act.
