She frowned. “You changed my clothes?” she asked.

He leaned back against the headboard folding his arms behind his head. Her eyes automatically fell on his biceps.

Annoyed, she dragged her eyes away from his body. “Well?” she demanded.

“What do you think?’

“I think you are perverted enough to see drunk girls naked.”

He smirked. “Nope. Never slept with a drunk girl or saw a naked drunk girl. Although you weren’t drunk last night. You don’t drink alcohol.”

She frowned. “Then what the hell happened?”

His eyes glittered darkly. “Someone drugged your drink.”

Her heart thumped inside her chest. “Who?”

He looked determined. “I’m not sure about that yet. I’ll find out soon, though.”

She fell quiet as events of the night once again ran through her mind in bits and pieces. She recalled being handed a drink. It was the same girl who invited her to the party.

But another face flashed in her mind. “It was your girlfriend.”

He frowned. “Who?”

“Keya Gupta.”

“She is not my girlfriend.”

Samantha raised an eyebrow. “Well, she seems to think so. And she warned me off you several times.”

He was quiet for a long moment. “She was at the party last night?”

“Yes.” Keya was a part of the cheerleading team.

A dark look flashed on her enemy’s face. “I’ll deal with her.”

She didn’t say anything. Feeling a little awkward being in bed with her enemy, she tried to get up. But as soon as she stood, her head spun, and she had to sit back on the bed.

“Whoa, easy there,” he said. “Don’t get up so quickly. What do you need? I can help you.”

She turned to him. “I’m getting up to get away fromyou. I don’t want to be in the same bed with you.”

He didn’t get offended. In fact, he grinned. “It’s not the first time we had a sleepover together, Sam. If I recall, you always begged your parents to allow us to have a sleepover each week.”

She glared at him. “We were children then.”

His eyes swept over her, lingering on her bare legs and then back to her face. “Yes, I can see the difference.”

Her stomach quivered, and a sizzle passed through her body. Annoyed, she got up from the bed again. This time slowly. She walked towards her closet and pulled out her drawer to grab some fresh underwear. Before she could take anything out, she once again felt slightly dizzy and swayed.

Her enemy had followed. She could feel his looming presence behind her. He held her arm to keep her from falling.

“Are you alright?” he asked. “Let’s go to the hospital. I wanted to take you there last night, but I was warned that if drugs are found in your blood, you might get into trouble and it might impact your participation in Team Simha.”

She frowned. He was right. Although she hadn’t known about the drugs, if her blood test came back positive, she could be suspended and kicked off the tennis team.

She couldn’t risk that as she had to graduate from Simha on time.
