Merde!
CHAPTER 27
“Something happened last night.”
Rishi was watching her with a grin. Samantha had just picked up breakfast and sat across from Rishi at the cafeteria. Anita joined them that day as well.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Samantha was annoyed that she couldn’t stop the heat of blush on her cheeks.
Rishi grinned. “Did Ved Simha visit you again last night?” he asked.
“Yeah,” Anita replied excitedly. “He even brought pizza. He was sweet enough to share some with me too.”
Samantha’s annoyance grew. She needed to firmly tell her enemy about maintaining boundaries. He should stop breaking into her room or bringing dinner to her and her roommate.
“Hmm…” Rishi said thoughtfully. “But I think something apart from having dinner together happened between them. Did he kiss you again?” he asked.
Anita’s eyes grew big with breathless anticipation. Samantha made a note to kill Rishi for his loud mouth and bury him under the tree next to her balcony.
“No, he didn’t kiss me last night.”
She wasn’t lying, because technically her enemy hadn’t kissed her. The heat in her cheeks intensified, recalling what her enemy had done the previous night.
She had barely slept a wink, continuing to feel shocked, shaken and lost in wonder that she could feel sexual desire like other girls her age.
And to add to those feelings, she felt strangely nervous about the upcoming dinner date with her enemy.
“Definitely, something happened between you and Ved Simha. There’s no way you’d look so sloppy or blush otherwise.”
“Sloppy?” she asked.
Rishi smiled. “You forgot to put on lipstick, and your shirt is buttoned all wrong.”
She frowned and looked down to see that her uniform shirt was incorrectly buttoned.
Letting out a soft curse at her enemy, she adjusted the buttons of her uniform. There was nothing she could do about lipstick right then.
“So, tell me, why did Ved Simha once again sneak into your room last night?”
“He did to check on me to see if I was doing okay.”He checked on other things as well.
Her cheeks continued to flame.
Rishi’s grin widened. “So, there’s no enmity between the two of you anymore?”
“There is. We still hate each other.”
“Hmm… so does that mean you won’t be seeing him anymore?”
She was silent.
Rishi looked amused.
She tried to brush it away. “I’m going out to dinner with him tonight.”
Anita looked delighted. “That’s so awesome!”
Rishi continued to look amused. “You hate each other, but you don’t mind going on a dinner date?”
