Page 83 of Reckless Hate

She was a mess.

She hated Ved Simha. But she also hated hurting him. And she still craved and desired the jerk.

She had just finished baking an elaborate carrot soufflé and kept it out to cool before she returned to her room when she saw her enemy’s tall form again.

She nearly had a heart attack, and then a blast of feelings hit her at the same time.

Shock.

Anger.

Lust.

And longing.

She focused on anger. “What are you doing here?” she demanded.

He looked at her quietly for a moment. She was wearing nightclothes because she hadn’t stepped out of her room much during the weekend.

Unable to stop herself, she stared at him.

He was wearing a simple black t-shirt with blue jeans. He looked effortlessly sexy with his chiseled features and tall, broad and lean muscled body. She wanted to run into his arms and touch and kiss him.

But she controlled herself.

“Why did you come?” she asked again while conflicted feelings filled her mind.

“I came to talk about last night,” he said.

A momentary dark flash in his eyes was the only indication of him being hurt by what she had done. But it was gone. He deserved to be hurt by her because of the tenfold hurt he had caused her in the past. But her heart had weakened towards him.

“I want you, Sam,” he said. “I know you fucked your friend to prove a point to me. And I got your message loud and clear that you don’t want any feelings involved in our deal. Fine.”

She stared at him in shock.

“I don’t care if you fucked a hundred guys before, but I want us to be exclusive during the deal. I want you to be mine.”

The last statement jerked her out of her shock. “Just because I agreed to the deal of sleeping with you does not make me yours! You hook up with girls all the time, but you don’t consider them as your girls or ask for exclusivity.”

“You are different, Sam,” he said quietly.

Her heart jerked. “I don’t want to be different! I will have an affair with you. But I will sleep with other guys if I want.”

His eyes looked stormy when he looked into her eyes. “I’m going to destroy every guy who touches you. If you fuck anyone or even kiss anyone while we are together, I will ruin him.”

She was shocked by his possessiveness stated in a matter-of-fact way. She closed the distance between them and shoved at him. “You have no right to do that!”

He didn’t move or look disturbed. “You were always mine, Sam. I want you to be mine again.”

Her eyes prickled with angry tears once again. “Fuck you, Ved. I was never yours. You destroyed our friendship. I hate you now. And you hate me too.”

He was quiet for another moment. “Fine. Then let’s hate fuck until we no longer want to. No feelings. But no other girls and guys too. We remain exclusive.”

She opened her mouth to tell him she didn’t want to agree to be exclusive, but her mouth fell closed again. Even though she hated him, she didn’t want him to be sleeping with other girls. A primitive part of her wanted him to be exclusively hers too, however long their deal would last.

She knew by agreeing to the deal, she was opening herself up to more hurt. But the other option of not being with him and feeling the constant craving towards him was going to be even harder.

He looked at her face while she made up her mind.
