Page 38 of The Agreement

“You mean of the female kind?” She rolled her eyes at the comment; not that she didn’t think he would since he said he wouldn’t go against the agreement.

“No, I meant of the business kind.” They stepped off the elevator and he walked them to the door and shook his head.

“I try very hard not to bring things back.” She nodded as they walked in and he pointed to the door that was her room.

“Thank you.” She opened the door and saw the deep blue satin dress lying on the bed and she smiled.

Two and a half hours later, she walked out of the room and stopped in her tracks to watch Vinny come out of his room. He was just pulling the black suit jacket on and she had to remember to breathe. Dressed in all black, there was no way to deny that Vinny was a good-looking guy or that he wouldn’t have heads turning in his direction. She tugged at the hem of her dress and he looked up at her and then let his eyes roam over her.

“You look stunning, that color looks great on you.”

“Same could be said for you. So what’s the game plan for tonight?”

“For starters, you and I are going to go down and have a drink, and then Enzo should be meeting us.”

“Sounds simple enough.” He gave her a smile at that. “What are you two discussing?” she asked.

“You don’t find many Chicago families making any type of alliances outside of their city,” he said and she nodded.

“Not a common practice. My dad only has a dealing with one family in Vegas.”

“So you know how difficult that can be.” She lifted a bare shoulder.

“Somewhat. The only reason I even knew about that family is because of the job. My dad went in on a casino, but I know it has illegal uses too, just don’t know the whole logistics of those.”

“Well, as you know, I’m not big into real estate,” he told her as he led her to a bar stool, “but Enzo was talking about building something that would help New York and Chicago.” He placed their order for their drinks and she crossed her legs as she turned and looked at him.

“And you need me to make sure numbers add up on all sides so that it’s fair and good all the way around?” She smiled her thanks as the bartender placed their glasses down and she took a sip.

“I trust Enzo, he wouldn’t cheat me out of money. But this deal just sounds too good to be true.”

“And it usually is if that’s the case. I will…” Val stopped as a tall brunette woman who wore a dress that barely covered both the fake ass tits and her pussy walked up to Vinny and placed those fake boobs against his arm.

“Hey lover, it’s so good to see you! When Enzo told me that you were coming, I had to come as well.” She trailed her fake ass nail over his shoulder. “Did you get the same room so I can meet you afterward?” Valentina clenched her teeth and slammed her glass on the counter as she stared at the skank currently attached to her man.

~ Chapter 30 ~

She watched as Vinny glanced at Val’s hand and then up at Val, but she didn’t care about how this looked. She heard what the woman said and it was obvious that the bitch didn’t work under his dad, so she was fair game. She knew it was way too hopeful on her part that she wouldn’t run into any of those past hoes, but guess she was just being naive.

“Ah, Vinny, I see Vixen found you.” Val narrowed her eyes at the woman, what kind of fucking name was Vixen?

“She has.” The men shared a laugh and then the other guy stepped around Vinny and Val got lost in those green eyes, although they were more like an emerald color.

“Pardon me, bella. Wait, I bring a date for Vinny here and he brings me one too?” the guy said, taking her hand to place a kiss on the back of it. “I don’t mind the date, Vinny, but where is this shrewd mind that you were also bringing?” Vinny moved away from the woman and placed his hand on Val’s knee and she had never wanted to remove it so badly.

“Enzo, let me present my shrew mind and fiancé, Valentina De Luca.” Val glanced at the woman who didn’t even seem fazed by the title.

“De Luca,” Enzo questioned. “As in Rafael De Luca?”

“His daughter.” Enzo lifted a brow but Vinny just grinned. “Val, Lorenzo, but Enzo to most, Rossi.”

“I know the name Enzo, a pleasure to meet you.”

“No, Valentina, the pleasure is mine. I hadn’t known you were this beautiful though. Maybe I should go to De Luca for a peace treaty too.” Valentina merely smiled at the man and placed her hand over Vinny’s that was still on her knee.

“Something tells me that Vinny doesn’t like to share too much.”

“Funny, I recall that he loved sharing quite a bit in the past. In fact, wasn’t it just a few months ago that you were sharing Vinny?” Val watched as the woman once again pushed against Vinny and Val was losing her patience, business be damned or not. Although she knew that she said she would behave, she just didn’t think that she would be forced to see shit like this now.
