Page 61 of The Agreement

That was really the last encounter she thought she’d have with her mom. In fact, her mom had never been the type to push things on her. Throughout her life, it had been her dad to push her to be prim, to be the perfect one, not her mom. And though her mom never stopped her dad from being that way, she didn't follow him in demanding she be more, until now.

And honestly, Val had no clue what to make of that. Her mom had never once raised her hand like that to Val, nor said anything like that to her. So Val moved out, became her own woman and everyone was all pissed off at her? Fuck, one would think they would be happy for her that she was making this work with Vinny, seeing how just months ago they were more than likely to scream at each other than ever be affectionate. She sighed and started up the car, texting Vinny to see if he had any extra time to calm her down or if it was okay that she could go with Luciana.

Val stormed into the house and marched straight to the room. Sure, her anger had cooled down and she got home safely but that didn't mean her annoyance had disappeared. In fact, it probably had risen because she was sure that her mom would call Vinny’s mom and have everything ready to go before she could even blink. She threw her purse on the chair just as Vinny walked in. He glanced at it before looking at her as she started taking her top off. She had thought a swim sounded pretty good to her right now but the moment Vinny gathered her in his arms, she knew he had other plans.

"What are you doing?" she finally asked as he started undoing her clothes.

"We are taking a shower." She looked up at him as he tossed her blouse and bra aside. He undid her skirt and he moved it down her hips, kneeling before her to take off her shoes and skirt. Once he was done, he stood up, made quick work of his clothes, lifted her up, and stepped into the shower, getting it warm. "What happened?" he asked her as his lips brushed over her shoulder and neck. She shivered and leaned her head back, resting it against the tile.

"My mom, I guess, assumed I was no longer a virgin," she started, trying to focus on what happened but it was very hard to when Vinny’s lips were now trailing over her chest and working their way to her nipple.

"You aren't though, so what's the problem?"

"The problem is her thinking I'm going to have a baby out of wedlock and her being the laughing stock, um, amongst...the...uh…families." God damn, she couldn't focus when his hot mouth had sucked on her nipple. He finally released it and shrugged.

"Sounds like her problem," he said as he worked his way to the other nipple.

"Uh, yeah, guess so. Except...mmm...she’s demanding...the marriage...next week." His head lifted up as his fingers found her center, which was already wet and he grinned.

"Still not my problem. I will marry you, Valentina, when you want to get married. No mother, or father for that matter, will have a say in anything that we do." She whimpered as he slipped another finger into her and pumped them in and out. She loved when he did that, but it always made her long for his dick.

"More," she breathed and he grinned.

"Your wish is my command," he told her as he lifted her legs around his hips. Her eyes opened to look at him and he paused as he saw the look in their depths. "What?"

"My wish, always?" She couldn't take the parents anymore, she was over them pushing her and Vinny and she wanted nothing more than to send a big ‘fuck you’ to them and state that they had no control anymore.

"Always, Val. What are you thinking?"

"Let's elope. Head to Vegas and say screw you to our parents." His movements stilled as he thought about that and she whimpered at the loss.

"Yes," he said as he slipped into her, making her cry out in many ways of pleasure.

She lay in his arms, her back against his chest as his hand rubbed along her hip. They were content for the moment, their loving in the shower was hot and it really did calm her down. She let out a sigh and she could feel him grin from behind her. He squeezed her hip and she looked at him over her shoulder, returning his grin.

“What are you thinking?” he asked.

“You really agree with us hitching a flight to Vegas and getting this over with? You say yes, there’s no more backing out Vinny.” He kissed her shoulder, her neck, the tip of her nose, and finally placed a tender kiss on her lips.

“I railed at my dad when he said I had to do this but now, Valentina, there is no one else I want on my arm, by my side, or in my bed, but you. So, yes, I think eloping is the best thing right now because it sure as hell seems like no one else is going to leave us alone about it.”

“I need to call Joey though. He won’t tell my dad, but as my boss still, in a way, I need his okay.” She knew he would get it. Even though she was marrying him, Joey was the underboss for her dad, the head of their mafia family.

“Sure thing. I’ll call Frankie and he can get a hold of Luciana, I know you wouldn’t get married without her.” She turned over in his arms and stared at him, a little flutter happening in her chest. She wasn’t sure what that was, but it made her breath catch.

“Thank you, for everything. I know it’s not easy to go against your dad.” He laughed as he finally threw the blankets off of them and reached for his shirt to allow her to cover up.

“Oh,inamorato(sweetheart), that’s the best part about this, I love going against my dad in any way I can, and this will be a shit ton of fun. I’m also really pissed off at my mom for treating you as she has and thinking I would want Celeste anywhere near me.” He tossed her the shirt and leaned down to kiss her again as he pulled on some pants, leaving the button undone. She sat up to admire him, the way the pants sat low on the hips, the way that V stuck out, and the way the tattoos just enhanced his chest and arms. Fuck, Vinny was a very sexy man and she grinned because he was about to be all hers.

She paced around the room as she looked at her phone. She did want to jump on a flight right now, but telling her cousin was hard. Frankie agreed, as did Luciana, and Frankie was on his way to go get her, so all that was left was for Val to call, and yet that was the hardest deal. She finally took a deep breath and dialed her cousin. After the second ring he picked up and she could hear the smile in his voice at the hello.

“Hey cousin, what’s up?”
