I have nothing left to lose. That’s what I tell myself when I go after the man who took everything from me. I’ve been trying to get an audience with mysterious millionaire Declan Evers for months, and I can’t get on his radar… until I run a hit piece on him in the newspaper I work for.
My plan to draw him out works perfectly… too perfectly. Because I am woefully unprepared when he seeks me out. I was convinced he was the one who ruined my life, but the more time we spend together, the less sure I am. It wouldn’t be so bad, except for the promise that Declan made me—a promise that he is going to destroy me.
I thought I had nothing left to lose, but I was wrong. And now I’ve put myself right into his warpath.

From the minute her vicious little article prints, I decide I’m going to make Soren Palmer pay for messing with me. But then I actually see her, and obsession takes a back seat to addiction.
I’ll go to any lengths I have to in order to discredit the author of that salacious drivel… including buying the paper she works for and coercing her with an offer she can’t refuse. I don’t know why she put herself on my radar, but I do know she’ll never get off of it. Because the reality is, I can’t destroy what’s already broken… but I can shatter her more, eviscerate her so completely that when I put her back together, her pieces only fit for me.
