You ever been running down field, feeling the wind on your face, football securely in your hand, the end zone in sight and BAM…you get hit by a cornerback you never saw gunning for you? Ok, maybe not common enough to be a cliché, but it’s felt like it for the last 2 years as I’ve watched Brandon Beiler from afar. An awkward interrupted shower and an apology over dinner puts me exactly where I’ve wanted to be since the first moment I saw him; by his side. I’m ecstatic for the friendship, but the more I learn about Brandon, the more I realize that he’s always there for everyone else…I want to be the person that’s always there for him.
