Hunter:
I’m one of three, and nobody’s first pick. I never have been, and I don’t want to be unless it’s on NHL Draft Night. College hockey, then go pro, that’s the path to the dream. And along the way, I’ve played the games, gone to the parties, and gotten the bad rap. I’ve done whatever it takes to get to this point, and I’m willing to throw it all away for a demon girl who not only has me by the balls, but by my stupid heart. Nice isn’t in my vocabulary, but Edison Santos has me saying things I never thought I’d say… including yes to settling a score and taking a slapshot at my own redemption. My lifelong dream might end up on thin ice, but I’d risk it all for her.

All I have to my name is the one bag I pulled out of the garbage and a lifetime of emotional baggage that’s too dirty to unpack. When you grow up like I did, you don’t dare to dream of what could be or fantasize about fairytales and happily ever afters. Instead, you walk through your nightmares and try to survive the night.
