When vampires are hunting a landless nymph, her gargoyle protector comes up with an unorthodox solution: They’ll choose the vampire who’ll claim her. Can they find the right candidate for the job?
Skyler is a rare landless nymph, which means any vampire can claim her without worrying about an unwilling soul bond poisoning them. She’d managed to stay hidden until a trip to San Diego in a last-ditch attempt to bond with some acreage that had recently lost its nymph. Still landless, she finds herself hunted by vampires desperate for a soul bond that will keep them from going feral.
She finds protection in the form of a gargoyle named Mason. He does his best to keep her safe, but there are a lot of vampires who want her and only one of him. Maybe it’s time to try something different; they’ll pick the vampire.
