Merry Bartholomew:
When Jasper Bright’s agent contacted me about a job taking care of him for a few months until his show I was excited. I love the reclusive artist’s work. But then I met him and now I know why one of my friend’s decided to call. I’m it. Nobody else will work for him because he’s a giant pain in the behind!
He doesn’t want me here and he makes that feeling well-known. I’m a little sick of his glares and huffing. I swear he has asthma or some other respiratory problem. But he can’t fire me no matter how many times he tries. Or how much I wish he could.
But thanks to a sudden snowstorm we’re trapped together on Christmas Eve and now that we have nowhere else to go, I have to say…he’s not as bad as I thought. As a matter of fact, Mr. Bright is starting to look like Mr. Right.
Jasper Bright:
I’m seriously going to fire my agent for putting me in this position. So I’m a little late getting all my pieces done for my show. That’s no reason to freak out and hire Little Mary Sunshine. Her chipper smile and the way she laughs at my dog are really grating on my nerves.
Kind of.
But the sweet smell of peppermint that trails after her is making me sick.
Sort of.
Her Christmas cheer is really driving me crazy though and when the storm hits and she does the craziest thing I’ve ever seen and tries to walk home, I realize that there’s just something about Merry that drives me crazy in the best kind of way.
So what do I do about it? Well, I think it’s time to show Miss Merry a little Christmas magic of my own.
