“Nicely played,” he said. “Any regrets?”

“None.” I’d never be rich, but I had my artwork, my dog, and a gorgeous cabin to call my own. And I was sharing my bed with a hot, sensitive mountain man.

Life didn’t get much better than that.

Eclectic Artist Nora needs a distraction free place to work on her painting, so when she finds a cabin on Lake Bluff in northern Wisconsin, she’s more than excited to make the trip. Until she finds it’s not as distraction free as it was advertised. Next door lives a grumpy silver fox who proves to disrupt her thoughts and dreams with every swing of his axe.

Nora has no intention to ever confront this frustratingly sexy man next door; that is until a storm rolls through and takes her power out leaving her with no other option but to knock on his door.

Chapter One

Nora

Damn,Icouldlickthe sweat right off his shoulders.

My attention is all over the place, and I can’t decide where to focus, scanning his light skin. His muscles rippling underneath as he swings the axe up before slamming it down in the center of the wood. Suddenly, I’m imagining myself lying across the large stump of wood, my legs spread wide as his masculine hands hold on to my thighs. He’s slamming into me, a delicious pressure bursting in the pit of my stomach as I yelp through each punishing thrust.

A beeping sounds off in the distance, distracting me for only a moment.
