Petals of Blue: Part Two

My life is amazing. I have friends who love and support me, a kid who challenges me, and a job that I worked really hard for. It took endless days of exhaustion, hunger, and a whole ton of rage to get myself here. I love my life and my people.
Then they moved to town. Declan, Roman, Felix, and Jared inserted themselves in every facet of my life, intentionally and unintentionally. They took groveling to a stalkerish level as they chipped away at the wall around my heart.
Until a threat we didn’t see coming takes me from them. There’s no ghosting or texts gone ignored this time. I’ve been taken from them against my will and theirs.
Little does this masked man know, I’m not a lone woman fighting for scraps anymore. I may have built a wall around my heart, but I also created a legion of loved ones ready to lay down their lives to save me.
