Page 31 of Always Been You

Han:This will all be good. Don’t stress, get some sleep, babe.

Liv:Thanks. I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow. Love you.

I plug my phone in and place it on my nightstand as I settle into my bed and try to fall asleep. I toss and turn for what seems like hours before sleep overcomes me.

I groan as I roll over in bed the next morning, reaching over to my nightstand to find my phone. Finally, finding it, I check the time: 11 a.m. I throw the blankets off of me as I pad to the washroom. I pee before I wash my face and stare at myself in the mirror. Memories of last night flood my mind. Liz is right. I’ll regret this if I don’t at least have a conversation with Josh and give this a shot.

Josh won’t be home for hours; I decide that I’ll make myself some breakfast and then get some cleaning done in the kitchen before settling down for a bit with a book. I grab a pair of black lace panties. The matching lace bra, and a comfy t-shirt that just covers my ass before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.

I pull up my favourite upbeat playlist on my Spotify and connect to the speakers Josh has set up in the apartment. The dance music plays through the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and I wander into the kitchen and dig through the fridge. Pulling out eggs, half an onion, cheese, and bacon. I also grab some potatoes to make homemade hash browns. When everything is done, I plate up my breakfast before heading to the dining room table and scrolling through my various social media accounts.

When I finish, I head into the kitchen to clean. I turn up the music to a blasting volume and dance around the kitchen.

Josh

Iwrap up mylast meeting at 1:30 p.m. and head from the conference room to my office. Sitting down at my desk, I run my hands through my hair and down my face.

This morning I left for work before Olivia was even up, which is normal, but today my entire body is on edge, not knowing what she is going to do after last night. After I left her in the hallway, I made my way to my washroom and jerked off in the shower to the memory of the feel of her skin, how she responded to my touch, and the sound of her moans as she ground herself against my thigh.

I check my calendar on my computer to confirm that I have nothing pressing that I need to attend to today. I have a game tonight, and I don’t want to wait that long to get an answer from Olivia. Closing my laptop, I put it in my bag along with a couple of files before I head out of my office.

“Kate, I’m heading home for the day. Take messages for any calls that come in, and text me if anything urgent comes up. You can leave at 3 p.m. for the day. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Of course, see you tomorrow, Mr. Lincoln,” she says with a nod before returning to the work on her computer. I head toward the elevators and down to my car.

Unlocking the front door, I can hear loud music as I step inside. I set my bag down and toe off my shoes before heading into the living room. Taking my suit jacket off, I lay it over the back of a chair in the living room and roll up the sleeves of my dress shirt. As I walk into the kitchen, I watch Olivia as she dances to a country song, Look What God Gave Her that I have heard her play before. She is wearing a T-shirtand her hair is in a messy bun on the top of her head. She is behind the island, so I can’t see any more. I watch as she bounces from foot to foot. She has her hands in the air as she sings along to the song with a serving spoon in her hand. This song fits her perfectly too. I can’t take my eyes off of her.

I lean against the wall that leads into the kitchen, cross my legs at the ankles, and cross my arms over my chest as I watch her in her carefree spirit dancing around the kitchen. I could stand here for hours watching her. I can see how happy she is as she dances and sings to her music. I wish that every moment of her life could be like this, where she has no care in the world. She moves out from behind the island and over to the corner and I notice she isn’t wearing any pants. She raises her arms above her head again and her t-shirt rises enough that the sexy pair of black lace panties peeks out from under the hem.

I tilt my head back and do my best to stifle the groan from coming out of me at the sight of her. Taking a deep breath, I lower my head just as I hear her scream while clutching her chest. She stares at me for a second before she remembers she is only wearing panties on her lower half and shuffles behind the island.

“Josh, you scared the shit out of me. I thought you wouldn’t be home until after your game tonight.”

“That was the plan, but I wanted to see you. See if you thought about what I said last night. I couldn’t wait until after my game. Can’t say I’m mad I got a great little show for coming home early.” I grin at her.

I can see her visibly swallow. I push off the wall and walk toward her. She moves so her back is pressed into the counter. I stop when I’m only a couple of inches in front of her.

“So, Olivia, do you have an answer for me?” I ask her.

She stares into my eyes for what seems like minutes before she gives me a small nod and a whispered, “Yes,” escapes her mouth.

The word is barely out of her mouth before I lean down and claim her mouth with mine. I use my right hand to grip her hair, tilting her head back to allow me to consume more of her mouth. She slides her hands up my arms and into my hair, scraping at my scalp.

I lick along her lips slowly to get her to open to me. She opens with a gasp as my free hand grabs her ass and pulls her body into mine. Our tongues meet, exploring each other. I can taste strawberries on her as we kiss. I slow the kiss, removing my tongue, and slowly move my lips with hers. Changing the kiss to a few closed-mouth kisses, I then give her a peck at the corner of her mouth.

Resting my forehead on hers, I close my eyes; we stay like that for a few moments as we work to catch our breath. When I open my eyes, she is looking up at me with eyes full of questions.

“Olivia, if we do this, you’re mine. I don’t share. It will be just you and me. Got that?” she nods once.

“I need to hear the words Olivia,” I say.

“Yes, Josh, just you and me,” she whispers.

I lean in and give her a quick kiss. “Good, now I want to take you to lunch. Why don’t you go get dressed and we can head out.”

She nods and I step back, giving her space to retreat into her bedroom.

Iclose my bedroomdoor and lean my back against it, tilting my head back. I stand there and replay the moment that we just shared in the kitchen. Him letting me know he doesn’t share. If we do this, it’s just him and me and no one else. It was a major turn-on. A smile spreads across my face because all of this seems so surreal. I can’t believe that this is happening.
