“Did Julie sign papers to be here?” He clamped his mouth shut.

“Her father worked around the clock for you…Was he one of your hidden lovers too?” I cringed on the inside.

“He was not my lover; he should have never wanted me to take care of his daughter. I never wanted her!”

“So, you should have set her free!” I yelled back. “She’s getting released, along with the others!”

“You can’t become captain save a hoe for nobody inside of my house! Fuck with me and see the real havoc I’ll cause.” Impurity rested his head against his seat then cracked it from side to side.

“I’ll forever own you, and whoever else I want to have.” He chuckled sinisterly.

“Ownership has expired. You’ll see soon.” I pointed my gun at James and gestured for him to stand to his feet.

Twenty-Nine

“If you squirm, speak or whine again through that duct tape, I’ll snap your fuckin’ neck before he arrives,” I gritted out lowly.

Seconds later her whimpers and squirming around in her seat came to a stop. The only sound being made was the slow tick of the clock on the far wall behind me. I sat in a dark corner of the hotel suite so Chedda wouldn’t spot me right away when the lights came on. I embraced the darkness; it swallowed me whole as I kept my eyes focused on the door.

I rested my hands on my knees as I moved my mouth up and down to readjust my mask that hugged my face a little too tight. Impatience got the best of me as I anticipated him walking through the door. News got back to Chedda about Howard-the-Coward being murdered in a restroom stall. I guess he needed a shoulder to cry on, so he started to blow Natavi’s phone up relentlessly.

Chedda got so desperate that he started to text mini paragraphs to Natavi’s phone. I acted unaware, I waited until she fell asleep each night to check and see if she’d respond. Natavi eventually grew tired of Chedda calling and texting her. She did the right thing and blocked his number. Chedda refused to give up, he started calling and texting her from unknown numbers. He even told her that he would pay her double if she would just go back home so they could talk.

I found that to be nothing but a fucking joke. He couldn’t pay her double, because I had an endless amount of money that would take him multiple lifetimes to catch up to. It was too late, and I refused to allow him to become a problem. Natavi was mine, our contract became void the moment I sucked blood from the sole of her foot.

The sound of a click from Chedda scanning his hotel key against the door made me grin wide. I stayed still as a thirst-ridden shiver ran down my spine. He stepped inside, cursing underneath his breath before he flicked the light on.

“Dumb bitch got it dark as fuck in here.” He mumbled to himself.

I could hear him touching along the walls to find a light switch. His breathing picked up, he started to panic as he called Monae’s name. Monae was a dummy just for opening the door for me when she knew Chedda already had a keycard. I was not giving Chedda the luxury of speaking first. Once he found the light, he blinked his eyes rapidly to adjust to the bright lights.

Monae was the first person he saw, he tried to think quick as his eyes grew big. He turned on his heels and I stopped him before he could grab the door handle by speaking.

“Don’t run from your destiny, Chedda.” I clicked my teeth and sat up in my seat.

He turned around slowly as I removed my mask from my face.No one but me is walking out of this bitch breathing anyway. I thought, I didn’t make a move because I didn’t need to. The fear in his eyes was enough to tell me everything I needed to know. He’s paralyzed in his own terror; he couldn’t decipher if I was going to kill him or just let him sit in front of me to threaten or rob him.

Monae’s whimpers picked back up, I guess she thought it was okay to disobey what I told her. It was easier said than done, she gave me an excuse to kill her faster without feeling an ounce of pity for taking an innocent life.

I stood to my feet and walked to the middle of the floor of where she sat tied down. I tucked my gun underneath my chin then rested my hands on either side of her shoulder. I locked eyes with Chedda and smiled his way as I talked lowly while standing above Monae. She trembled violently as her low sobs bounced off the walls.

“You didn’t follow simple directions, Monae. Now, I think it’s pointless of me to listen to you beg me for mercy after I take care of your pimp.”Crack!

I snapped her neck in less than two seconds. Slowly I let her head go and watched it bob from side to side before it went still; it hung over like a rag doll. I shut my eyes and took in a deep breath as I heard the sound of a soft hiss. I opened my eyes and gazed over at Chedda. He loss control as a heavier splash hit the carpet. He stood frozen, not even realizing that he was pissing himself with his eyes wide.

“Seems like your body betrayed you, Chedda. Your body has already made a choice.”

I tucked my gun in the small of my back and stalked over to him. He shuddered then threw his hands up in the air to show me that he surrendered.

“I—I—I please! W—what—ever you want?—”

“I have who I want…Her name is Natavi, she belongs to me.” I gritted out.

He took a step back and I yanked him forward by the shirt. He wobbled on his feet as I punched him in the gut. Once I knocked the air out of him, he fell down to his knees. I balled my fist tight, then socked him in the nose and mouth repeatedly until I heard a sick crack from his nose bridge breaking.

Blood decorated my knuckles as he wailed like he was getting a spanking from his momma. Tired of hearing all of the noise, I reached down and snapped his neck.
