I keep my eyes on the man I once thought of as an ally. He stares coldly at me while I eat. I’ve made a terrible mistake by trusting this man. Who is he, and what does he want?
“Who are you?” I demand a few bites into the meal.
“I’m Damon. You know who I am.”
“Bullshit! No driver of Lucas’ would treat me this way. Tell me the truth.”
“It’s time to grow up, princess,” he sneers.
“What?”
“I hope you don’t think I’m footing the bill for your accommodations.”
“What are you talking about? This place is a dump.”
“Well, this is your new address, so you’d better get used to it.”
“Damon,” I plead. “Please. What’s going on? Why won’t you let me talk to Lucas?”
“Forget about Lucas Lucchese. He is no longer a part of your life. You belong to me now.”
What is he talking about? What does he mean? I belong to him?
“I don’t understand.”
“I thought you had a good education. You’re a little slow.”
“Are you kidnapping me?”
“There you go. Now you’re getting the picture?”
“So, what now? Are you planning on collecting a handsome ransom from Lucas?”
“Nope. I have other plans for you.”
“Other plans?”
“You’re worth more to me on a long term basis. Besides, if I hit Lucas up for a ransom, he’ll kill me. Although I’m sure we could work something out. Come to an arrangement if you prefer.”
I’ve seen that look before in a man’s eyes. If Damon thinks I’m going to have sex with him, he’s even crazier than he looks right now.
“No fucking way! I’ll claw your eyes out before I let you touch me, you son of a bitch,” I snarl.
Lucas smirks.
“Okay, up to you. I’d get used to using that cute little ass of yours if I were you. You’re going to need it.”
Damon walks toward the door.
“Wait! Where are you going? Damon! Stop!”
He ignores me, slams the door shut, and locks it.
Well, that’s it. I’m fucked!

“Get up.”
