But, it wasn't possible. And now, he's going to leave her room. He was already close to the door, he would leave without holding her in his arms again.
She felt cold. Tears prickled her eyes again and this time around, they overflowed even as she tried her best to keep them at bay. She felt like a whore.
Her heart was hurting. Her body felt cold. God, so cold!
Then, his arms blanketed her from behind. This time around, he was naked...except for his boxer briefs.
"Wolfe..." She whispered tearfully, hope threading her voice.
"I'm here. I'm right here," he snuggled her closer to his arms until he was scooping her fully as he did when he first entered her room.
The heaviness in her heart evaporated. Her body was suddenly feeling warm again. She held onto him like a lifeline.
"Will you be here with me while I fall asleep?" She asked like a vulnerable child.
"Yes," He grumbled into her hair.
"Will you hold me while I sleep? Will you sleep here with me...?"
Silence descended.
"I can't, Ena." He said in a very low tone at last.
His answer did not hurt her. She was too contented and satisfied in his arms to feel anything else.
One step at a time. With a troubled man like him, it can only be one step at a time.
It didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
He held her a long while after she fell asleep before he untangled from her, got up, and left her room.
Doctor Beloca sat relaxingly, watching the whore sleeping on the bed a few feet away from him.
Damn whore enjoying the luxuries of the expensive hotel he paid for while he's wide awake, unable to sleep. He looked at her with disgust, while smoking his cigarette.
Hell, he'd dropped the habit before and he'd even managed to stay a few months too. But, in times like this, smoking just couldn't be helped.
Those damn animals. Howhe hated them.
It's been a month since their leader sent back the last of his warriors, half-dead and with a message to deliver to him.
His plans failed, just like that. He'd been so sure that the plan would work. He'd been so sure that the hunters would capture at least one werewolf for him to experiment on, but instead all of them died without capturing a single lab rat for him.
The worst part was that Simon, the best huntsman was dead and he'd lost The Ring. His precious ring makes finding these animals so easy!
With Simon dead and the ring gone, it's gonna be hard to find The Successful. And he never cared to get all the pieces of information Simon had. Dammit!
That damned animal Cronus stopped taking his calls too. Bastard is too scared of being caught as a traitor, he's always the first to run whenever something happens.
The loud shriek of his ringing startled him, forcefully dragging him out of his thoughts. Who would dare to call him so early in the morn—
Adeladin?
"This better be worth it." He snapped, placing the call to his ear.
"It's too early in the morning to be a grumpy shit, don't you think?" Came the irritatingly familiar voice of the leader of the Wolfhunters.
"I'm not in the mood, Adeladin. What's the reason for this call?"
