Dima nodded at Faith and Dante as he asked, “Did you find them?”
Faith nodded.“Yeah, we found where they were sleeping. They aren’t getting out of their rooms anytime soon.”
The man in Dima’s hold looked shocked. Then he shook his head.“How did you stop them? That’s impossible.”
Faith stared at him as she gave him a nod.“I am aware that their trigger is the door to their rooms opening.I just kept the doors from opening.”
“You couldn’t stop my steel doors from unlocking, bitch.I hit the trigger button, the doors should have opened.”
“The locks kinda got melted. In fact, the doors are sealed now,” Dante said with a shrug of his shoulders.
Trac’s head snapped up and he stared at Dante.“How the bloody hell did you melt a steel lock?”
“You use a torch, of course,” Dante answered with a chuckle.
“Let's get out of here.Nam nuzhno potoropit'sya. We've got more work to do.”Dima hustled everyone down the stairs and out to the yard. Before they left the building, Dima slapped a piece of tape over Trac’s mouth.“You may not want to see what we are about to do, Mr.Trac.Your entire company here is about to go up in flames.”
Then Nubric stepped over to tap him on the back of his head with his weapon.Trac would be out for a while.
They left the building quietly and made their way to their vehicles.
Faith and Dante were standing beside the truck.
Dima then came over to talk to them.“We’re going to get those canisters now then we’ll blow up the warehouse and the boats.”
“Did you check the outbuildings for more canisters?”Dante asked.“If they had 24 boats here, they had forty-eight canisters.”
“I can check the outbuildings,” Faith told them.“He’s right, they would have had enough canisters of both colors to outfit all of them.”
“We’ve already set the bombs for the warehouse,” Minki told her.“So make your search quickly and quietly.Meet us back here in twenty minutes.Dima and I will get the canisters while Catch sets the charges on each boat.”
“We saw seven guards walking the perimeter,” Faith told them.
Minki smiled and said, “Yeah, so did we but now they are all sleeping on the job.Don’t worry about them, they are tucked in for the night. They will wake up later without jobs, I am afraid.”
Dante chuckled.“They are better off collecting unemployment I am thinking.”
Faith smiled then gave them a nod.“Ok then, let’s get this done.”
Dima nodded then watched as Faith walked away.He turned to Dante and asked, “Can she do what she claims?”
Dante nodded.“Yes, she spent years as a victim of his super soldier program. We have seen her do many extraordinary things. And just so you know, she did not have a torch for those doors.”
Dima cocked his head at him.“But you are not going to share how she did it with me, are you?”
Dante shrugged.“It’s another extraordinary skill.”
Dima simply shook his head.“We’ll be back in twenty minutes. You watch over Mr.Trac.Make sure he’s still here when we get back.”
Dante nodded.“He's not going anywhere.Go do what you have to do.I’ll wait to see the fireworks.”
Dima, Nubric, Minki and Catch all melted into the shadows.
Dante sat in the dark next to Trac’s sleeping form.He now wondered if he should have gone with Faith. The truth was, she didn’t need his help most of the time. That didn’t bother him, even though it perhaps should have.He had been capable for years to take care of business. All he cared about was that she would be safe and with him at the end of each day.
Less than half an hour later, Faith showed up driving a skip loader, loaded to the brink with canisters. She had found the rest of them. They began loading them into the vehicle about the time Trac was waking up.He looked at the tanks with confusion then tried to back away from them when he realized what they were.
Dante smirked and said, “Something bothering you Mr.Pallor? Now that makes me wonder just what’s in these canisters.”He looked over at Faith.“Curious right?Didn’t you say that the red canister would mix with blue and then the poison would be born?”
