Corbin said one word.
“Yes.”
Only, before he could speak, Corbin kissed him, and they took that moment to celebrate. They were going to be amazing as their own little family.
He’d bet on it.
Corbin finally understood Ethan and Gene’s relationship because he found that same love.
Thankfully.
When he broke the kiss, he was honest.
“Let me get this case handled. As soon as I’m off the undercover job, I will help you move into my place. You can keep yours if it makes you feel better, but you’ll never go back there, Will. That I can promise.”
Will couldn’t believe his good luck.
They were a matched set.
The detective and the prosecutor.
There was no doubt that Fate had planned this one out well, that was for sure.
“I love you, Corbin.”
He clung to him.
And in that moment, Corbin was the happiest he’d ever been in his whole life. When this case was over, they’d have a talk about marriage, and start making plans.
Now, Corbin knew what he needed to do first.
He needed to kick ass on this undercover case, so he could ensure his future as a detective doing these kinds of jobs was locked down.
He’d gotten the man.
Now, he needed to earn the accolades.
And he would.
Bet.
On.
It.
Chapter One
The Condo
Vacation Day
Early Morning
For an overworked Fed, there was nothing like going on vacation. In fact, a federal employee looked forward to that time of the year for mainly one of two reasons. One was to avoid dealing with your boss, and the other was so you weren’t shot at for at least a week.
For him, it was both reasons.
Honestly, Gene Cantrell was ready to get his and Ethan’s asses on a plane and get the hell out of Dodge as soon as possible.
