Sergi got to his feet and said, “Come along, we have to speak to Serenity and Nicky.If I know them, they can find out information no one can.We have to get them on this group before that damn plane lands and Artemy brings his chaos to these shores.”
Sergi opened the door to the suite where Nicky and Serenity were working.
Serenity looked up and smiled.
Sergi looked between the younger couple and told them, “Leon Vincinti just called me to tell me that it was a group from Italy that helped to bust Artemy out of prison.The explosion also hurt 14 others and three of those men were killed outright.”
“Wow, Leon Vincinti himself called you?”Nicky exclaimed.
Sergi nodded.“I’ve met the man himself in Boston.With his call to me, he wanted me to know the explosions that blew Artemy out were delivered by a group calling themselves the Triple Triangles.I believe he called them a sister group to the Blue Crusaders.”
Serenity turned to her computer to type in commands.Then she flipped from screen to screen.It only took her a few minutes but when she looked up from her screens, she looked worried.“These people are bad.They hit a museum in Rome and a high fashion boutique in Milan at the same time they hit the prison.”
Sergi nodded.“Yes, my dear, Leon informed us about that.Apparently, they have a large group.It also seems like the moment he was free, he up and disappeared.No one can find him in Russia at all.Leon suggested he got on a plane and is now on his way here.”
Serenity trembled as she asked, “He’s coming here to kill you, isn’t he?”
Sergi looked at her steadily and said, “That’s probably his plan but now that we know it, I want you and Nicky to find a way to stop him.Can you do that?”
Serenity glanced at Nicky quickly then looked back at Sergi, “We can sure as hell try.He would need a new passport.I can start there and Nicky can try to find out what he can about this Italian group and their supposed ties to the one in Russia.”
Sergi nodded.“Look for a manifest of some kind as well.Something that might tell us what they want.The sister spoke of their father coming here and setting the record right.They also said that their group is bigger than we think and that they have people here as well as in Russia.But no one back home can find them.We need to root them out and expose them for what they are.The girls told us that they want to take over our government and they want power but the Russian people are not going to just hand it over to them, not without a fight and that is the last thing we want.”Sergi looked down at the floor and shook his head.“That might just break the back of Mother Russia.”
“We are on a tight timeline here.We need answers before it's too late,” Nikoli urged them.
Nicky nodded then turned toward his computer.
Sergi motioned Nikoli toward the door and they walked down the hall.
Chapter Three
Sergi knocked on Artem’sdoor.
When he answered it, he turned and called out to Briar.
When she got to the door, she looked at him and stepped aside.
