Now the entire room saw what Serenity had been looking at.
John stepped up right behind him as he got closer to Leon and Sergi.
Sergi searched the screen and before long, he froze and growled, “What the hell is she doing out there?”
Artem stepped over to look and when he spotted her, he said one word, “No.”
Briar had just stepped out of the shadows and right into the battle.The one now raging between the Triangles, the Blue Crusaders and the street men as the three groups came together to protect their own.
Chapter Six
Briar took a fist tothe face.
Artem sucked in a breath and his body went rigid.
Then Briar danced around as if she didn't feel a thing.With a kick and an elbow thrown, she was holding her own.The man then went down as she swung her bat and moved on to the next one.
“Yes!”Serenity cheered.“You got ‘em.”
The street men on the screen were sort of protecting her but as they watched, they saw that she could fight her own battles.
At one point, a blow dislodged her cap and her hair fell to her shoulders to cover her back in all its glory.
Leon gasped.“Che diavolo?”he whispered.“I’ve only seen hair that color once...ever.Who is she?”he asked with a whisper.
Sergi looked over at Leon.“She goes by the name of Briar.But she’s a Grigori.Her mother’s name was—”
“Magda Grigori,” Leon whispered.“I should have known that.She looks a lot like her dear mother doesn’t she?”
“You knew Magda?”Felix asked.“How did you know her?Or should I ask, how well did you know her?
Leon just raised his eyebrows but he didn’t answer Felix's questions.
Artem turned to face Leon and glared at him.“She is going to be my wife.”
Leon just stared at him then he shrugged.“Bene, bene for you, if she’s anything like her mother, you will be very happy.”
