My fingers trace over the tattoos on his chest and shoulders.
Demons and nightmares. But it doesn’t scare me. He holds them for me so I don’t have to. He carries the weight so it’s lighter on my shoulders. Levi is my breath of fresh air. And as I shatter and my climax reaches a breaking point, he’s the single point in the universe that holds me together.
I grab his shoulders, and from the grit of his jaw, I know I must be squeezing him until it hurts. He fills me so deeply, it’s nearly impossible for me to take him sometimes. But when I come, I run out of room entirely.
Levi is all I feel and all I hear.
Chasing me over that ledge as he finds his own relief with my body.
With my heart.
He does as he promised, looking into my eyes as I fall apart. Eyes I get lost in every night and every morning, wondering how I went so long without them.
They’re the one part of him that is exactly as I remember them. Threads of gold in darkness. Comfort in forgotten promises.
Levi fucks me until he’s dripping out of me, and only then does he settle between my legs, but he doesn’t pull out.
“You’re perfect.” He brushes my hair back, kissing my jaw.
“Still going with the compliments?” I smile.
He peppers kisses over my jaw and neck, pausing with his lips right beneath my ear. “I’m going to spend the rest of my life appreciating you, firecracker. With compliments.” He kisses lower. “Kisses.” He plants another one at my shoulder. “Cum.”
“Charming.” I laugh, and he looks down at me, grinning.
“I’ve never been accused of such things.”
“I can see why.” I reach for his hand, which is stroking the side of my head, so I can play with the wedding band he wears over the hourglass. “I love you, Levi.”
“I love you too.” He leans in and brushes his lips over mine. “Always.”

Three Months Later
“I thought you wereleaving town.” I slide onto the stool beside Chaos, surprised to see him actually working, typing away on his laptop instead of auditioning a stripper.
Half the time, when I walk into Sapphire Rise, Chaos is surrounded by topless women. Which, considering where we are, isn’t a surprise.
“Figured I’d put off my trip a little longer after—” He looks around. “It’s not a good time for the club right now.”
“Right.” My lips purse, knowing exactly what he’s talking about.
The takedown of the Iron Sinners made national headlines, which has federal agents still swarming Vegas, even three months later. They thankfully haven’t beenable to tie anything to the club, but the frequent visits have been causing Levi stress.
It’s one of the reasons we dropped by Sapphire Rise today with Ghost. Every Twisted Kings business is being pulled apart. Law enforcement is looking for anything that might reveal why the Twisted Kings would attack the Iron Sinners compound.
It doesn’t help that Rick Zane has been steering the feds to the Twisted Kings every chance he gets. The battle with the Iron Sinners might be over, but it’s clear they still have enemies.
“Havoc tells you way too much shit.” Chaos smirks, watching me.
“Who said he tells me anything?” I shrug, feigning innocence.
“That look on your fucking face. You were much better at lying when you were still jaded and angry.”
“You just miss my grumpy side because you’re back to being the emotional buzzkill in the room.”
