“Jesus!” Black eyes was definitely broken.
“People our age? Really?” Blue eyes shook his head. “Okay, now we knowallof that, you need to explain the thing you shouted out there. Are you pregnant?”
I looked away, embarrassed that I’d shouted that out loud. “No. No, I’m not.”
“Why did you shout it then?” He squeezed my thighs and his thumbs stroked my legs in a tantalizing way.
“Oh. I was terrified about who was going to bid on me. Or that no one would bid on me.”
“So, if you know that we’re going to be the ones bidding on you, would you go back out there?” Blue eyes glanced at his friends. “Knowing that whoever wins the bid gets complete control over their prize for the night. Within limits, of course.”
My body answered before my brain could. “Yes.”
CHAPTER 9
Harley
I hadn’t expected to find myself back on stage but I was. When the man with the microphone introduced me again, I went red with embarrassment and did a little wave to the audience.
“I’m not pregnant. Just nervous.”
The man grinned as he took my hand and spun me around for everyone to see. “As you can see, ladies and gentlemen, this beautiful woman is—”
“Two million.”
I physically jerked like I’d been punched. Had I just heard Black eyes bid two millionrealdollars on me?
“O-kay! We’re eager, I see. Anyone want to bid against our founders?” The man beside me laughed. “Didn’t think so. Sold!”
Founders? My blood turned to ice as I remembered everything I’d heard about the founders. How they’d tied a woman up and made her come until she begged them to stop. In public. The sudden urge to shout that I was pregnant again came over me.
“Come on, little bunny. It’s time for you to learn a little bit about us and the things we don’t accept from our delicious little innocent.”
I stood frozen. “Wait. What’s your name?”
His eyes flashed but he took a deep breath and nodded like he was agreeing to humor me. “Luc. Maddox is behind me and Jace is across the room getting the key to a viewing room.”
Luc was Black eyes. Maddox was Blue eyes and Jace was Hazel. It was only slightly embarrassing to bejustfinding out their names.
“Now, come.”
I glanced around for any sign of Reagan but she was gone. Probably having a wild night of debauchery with her men. Good for her.
Luc was suddenly on the stage with me, towering over me. His warm scent filled my senses and the heat of his body made me sway closer.
“I don’t particularly enjoy repeating myself, Harley. If you’ve changed your mind and can’t go through with this, that’s fine. Just say so. If you do want to come with us, though, you need to understand that when one of us gives you a command while we’re here, in this building, it’s meant to be followed.”
Half of me wanted to fight. The other half was a dirty skank who panted for a bossy man. I looked down at my toes and nodded.
He gripped my chin and lifted my face to his. “Words. I need to hear you say it.”
“I haven’t changed my mind.”
He dipped his head and brushed his lips over mine. “Good. Now let’s go.”
Maddox waited at the edge of the stage and gripped my waist when I got closer so he could pick me up and set me down on the floor in front of him. Even in all my nervousness I still giggled at being picked up. As a tall woman with curves, I was more used to men laughing about the idea of picking me up.
With Luc in front and Maddox at my back, we left the main room and moved down a hallway which was dimly lit with gas sconces on the wall that glowed and flickered with real flames. The hallway ended and split left or right. I saw instantly I was in over my head in a sex club. While still lit with the gas sconces, more light flooded the hallway in each direction from large windows. Crowds of people stood outside of each window, watching whatever was happening on the other side.
