“Please don’t kill me. Please,” Uggo whimpered. He curled on his side. For the first time since he took me, I got a good look at his face. Sick fascination swirled in my gut. I hope their attack hurt him.
A heavy furred palm rested on my shoulder, and I looked up at Camden.
I signed at Camden to translate for me.
“How does that—” He turned to the man. “Why did you take her?”
“Answer,” Kit said, growling as he stepped on the man’s ankle.
“I bought her,” he shouted, hiccuping.
“You bought an Omega?”
“I didn’t know she was an Omega,” he yelped. If he hadn’t known I was an Omega, then what? He just purchased a werewolf for fun?
The look on his face told me that was exactly it. My stomach churned from the memory of the dead body I’d been locked up with.
“What about the dead girl you locked me up with?” Camden asked the question for me, his jaw clenching tightly.
“S-she couldn’t satisfy my needs,” he said high-pitched. This gross piece of crap. What a sick individual.
“Who did you buy her from?” Camden’s hands shook.
He whimpered when Kit pressed down harder. “I don’t know.”
A snap tore through the air with his scream. Rowan bent over and tore through his neck, detaching it from his body with a pop.
I stumbled back into Camden from the suddenness.
“He hurt mate,” was all Rowan said. I couldn’t deny that Uggo’s spasming muscles were satisfying, but Iwantedto know why he had me and who he had purchased me from. I avoided looking at the stringy meat from his torn neck and pulled out the cell phone he had tied to his ankle.
“Let’s go,” Kit’s voice rumbled.
Camden scoffed and I turned to glare at him.
“Weren’t you leaving?”
He growled and gripped my arm, pulling up. I dangled from his claws as he swung me on his back. I wrapped my legs and arms around his body, hanging on as he took off running.
Kit sprinted past us in wolf form. I’d rather hop on one of them in that form. They were fucking huge anyway, they could definitely carry me like that.
It didn’t take Camden long to get us back to the house. He strode inside, ignoring the dirty look from Kit, and lowered me to the ground.
I took off toward the room and sank into the edge of the bed, swiping at the phone. Shit, it was locked. I tried a few combinations, guessing the simplest numbers... but nothing.
I gritted my teeth, squeezing the device.
“Of course you’re looking through it.” I jumped, the phone flinging from my palm. Kit caught it and attempted to swipe through. I didn’t miss Camden’s expression of irritation. What the fuck?
“Phone requires a passcode.” Feeling Kit’s gaze on me, I shrugged sheepishly.
“I understand your need to find out who sold you, Will, but you need to talk to me about it.” I could hear the irritation in Camden’s tone.
“I’ll find out for you.” I scowled at Kit. And that was exactly why I didn’t want to involve them. They’d want to protect me.
“I like that idea, now we’re speaking the same language,” Camden said, a smirk on his lips. I rubbed my palm across my face. Oh, great... “I have a guy in England that can unlock the phone. I’ll make a few calls so we can meet up with him tomorrow.” I perked up. “You can wait here—”
My teeth clicked together, and I grabbed a pillow and tossed it at him. It smacked into his chest.
