“Ada, you’re the clumsiest person I’ve ever met.”

“Give me a break. I’m tired after a long day and a crappy night’s sleep.”

“You never sleep, Ada.” Kim confirmed.

The door flew open, smacking the handle against the wall. In marched Ro. Did I mention already—I. AM. OBSESSED. WITH. HIM.

“Why the fuck haven’t you called Mom, Kimmie?” His eyes narrowed, studying my crumpled misery. “Why are you lying down there, kid?Actually, don’t answer that. I don’t want to know what you pair get up to.”

Ro strolled closer, bent over me, and held out his tanned hand. If hands had levels of excellence, hiswould achieve a royal eleven out of ten. I’d happily think of his fingers as the crayons to my coloring book.

A delightful shiver quivered my insides, anticipatinghis strength. Ro towered over me with a cute, perplexed crease denting his forehead. The guy was mesmerizing, with pale green eyes, glistening like dewdrops on a blade of lush grass. His rich chestnut hairwas shavedneatly at the sides, leading to a mound of roughly styled strands at the top, but it was the super sexy grin that melted my cotton panties right off my flaming hot skin. Tingles soared and skipped with the flutters in my belly. His graphite polo shirtwas roughly tuckedinto navy blue jeans with the collar popped up, like he had just gotten dressed. Effortless. Breathtaking. Dreamy.

“Grab on, kid. Come on, I don’t have all day.” He clucked his tongue and crooked his palm impatiently.

I tucked in my knees and rotated my arm, stretching closer to his beckoning fingers. With a powerful tug, Ro wrenched me to a stand and instantly dropped my palm like a hot coal when I was steady. He was strong, there was no denyingit, and his natural good looks enhanced his bad-boy reputation. I wanted his hint of danger.

“Phone Mom, Kimmie, or I’ll give you a numb arm with one punch.” He faced Kim, sporting a broody frown that puckered his lips and made them divinely dirty.

I stroked my hand to soak up the stimulating heat left on my skin from his contact. We had a connection. I could feel it.

Kim flew off the bed and grabbed her mobile. “Sure you will, tough guy. I called Mom earlier.” She waggled the mobile in his face.

“No, you didn’t.”

“Yes, I did!”

“Kim, call her.”

“Ugh! Leave me alone, Ro. You’re my brother, not my dad.”

His eyes cut back to mine. I was sure my goofy gaze hid behind steamy lenses because the rush of heat radiating from between my thighs was burning me up.

“You okay, kid?” Ro cocked his head.

“I’m fine.”I’m in lust with you. Carry me over your shoulder to the exit and do bad things to me.

“Make sure she calls her, please.” His mouth rose at one side, and there it was: his show-stopping, earth-quaking, heart-breaking grin.

I nodded repeatedly, like a bobblehead on the car dashboard. Unfortunately, I was still bobbing when he shut the door behind him, leaving me alone with his angry sister.

“Why do you act like that in front of my brother? It’s embarrassing, Ada.” Kim scowled.

I faked surprise, widening my eyes like I was clueless. I couldn’t hide the fact I became a flushed, giddy idiot. Every. Damn. Time. “What do you mean?” My palms settled on my hips, and I shrugged slightly.

“It’s obvious you’ve got the hots for him.” She dropped her phone on the nightstand and sighed with disgust. “He’s only into himself. I don’t think there’s room in his tiny brain for anyone else,” Kim chided.

“You’re just being mean because he’s your brother. And why won’t you call your mom?” I quizzed, flopping onto my bed and sinking onto the downy duvet.

A frustrated growl bubbled in her throat. “Kim, are you attending all your classes?” She mocked her mother’s posh accent. “Kim, are you eating vegetables? Kim, are you changing your underwear? Kim, are you doing this? Kim, are you doing that? Honestly, Ada, if I have to answer one more stupid question, I’ll shove garlic cloves in my ears.”

I slung my arm over my eyes. “Why garlic?” Nothing surprised me where Kimwas concerned. Drama fell at her feet, and mischief always lurked.

“Garlic, to ward off the life suckers.”

I slinked under the covers and tilted my pelvis to create a little sheltered tent for garment removal. Shimmying out of my jeans, I toed them off, letting them fall to the carpet.

“She cares for you. If you don’t call her back, then she’ll worry even more. Next time, it’ll be her knocking on the door instead of Ro.” My eyelids flickered with my loud yawn, and I stretched out my limbs to find a comfy position. “What about Fia’s pool party? Do you want to go?”
