“I hate you all so much!” Palmer shouted, still trying to escape.

“Hush, kukola. Or you will hate us more before long,” Misha warned, and his voice was so deep and demonic that it sent a wave of excitement down my spine. He was such a big, bad boy when he wanted to be. Usually, he didn’t like to let the bad part out, because ya know, people tended to die or get maimed. But ooh, I loved a good adrenaline rush.

Misha switched places with Ashland, who stood before the massive seven-foot-tall mirror and did some kind of hand motion. A green light illuminated the border of the mirror, and it swung open, revealing Ashland’s secret room of depravity.

“Oh, I thinkthe fucknot!” Palmer screamed as we entered, allowing her to see the extent of the space.

Ash glanced around, ignoring her. “Hmm, what do you think boys? I’m leaning toward the St. Andrews cross.”

“I will fuck you up, Ashland. The second they release me—”

Felix chimed in, speaking over Palmer. “I think I’d like to see her strung up on the cross.”

“You’re all going to pay for this, I swear. You can’t even congratulate me? Like ‘Oh, Palmer! You’re such a bad bitch fighter—you looked hot as fuck whooping Rhodes’s ass tonight!’ And I’d be like, I know, right? Thank you! Now give me my winner’s orgasms.”

I tilted my head at her. “Do you think we can gag her? Just like, for now?”

“Yes,” Misha piped up, eyeing Palmer with dark promises in his gaze. He and Felix fought to get her arms straightened, securing her wrists to the cross. She was spitting mad, breathing hard, and sweating by the time she was fully restrained.

“Stop fighting, Bun-Bun. We just have some questions, okay?” I pushed some of her hair out of her face, and the little beast tried to bite my hand. I snatched it out of her reach just in time. My eyes widened as a thought sprouted in my head. “Oh fuck, of course. Makes sense,” I mumbled to myself.

“What makes sense?” Ashland demanded, looking between me and Palmer.

“Earlier, I was wondering what was going on with everyone acting crazy, and then I thought ‘oh shit, what if we’re turning into werewolves?!’”

“Not this again,” Felix groaned, and I flipped him off.

Palmer was staring at me just as intensely as everyone else at this point. “Well? What’s your theory here?”

“Sheis a werewolf. Did you not see her just now?”

Ash sighed. “Talon. Get the fuck out.” He pointed at the door.

My mouth popped open. “Excuse me?”

“This is a serious fucking situation and you’re being a serious fucking idiot!” He ran his hands through his hair and tugged, making it stick out in all directions. I wanted to tell him he looked like he’d been hit by lightning, but thought better of it when I saw his eyes taking on a red hue. Dude was losing it.

“If you think I’m letting any of you touch me, you’re crazier than I thought!”

Felix laughed darkly. “Who said anything about touching you?”

“Trust me, love. You don’t want my touch right now. I want to turn your ass red, I want to make you scream under the kiss of my flogger. I want you to stop FUCKING LYING!” Ash roared, his shirt ripping from his body as his wings burst out, his horns growing rapidly right along with his height.

For the first time since we’d met her, Palmer actually looked a little scared.

“I think we all need to calm down before anything else happens,” Felix suggested, eyeing Ash warily. Even Misha was vibrating with emotion, though whether that was rage or something else, I had no idea.

I cleared my throat. “I vote we leave her here. She can think about her behavior while we chill out and clear our heads. Then we’ll get some answers.”

Palmer’s attention snapped to me. “Leave mehere?”

“Good plan. I’m out,” Ash growled, his eyes never leaving our little bunny as he stormed past and disappeared through the door.

“Wait!” she cried, flexing against the restraints.

Felix stepped up and cupped her cheek. “We all need a breather, baby. You’ll feel better after, you’ll see.” He dropped his hand, and her mouth opened in disbelief.

“You can’t just leave me here!”
