I didn’t really pay attention to what Jameson was trying not to say in that statement. In fact, I was so shocked by that little tidbit of info that I blurted out the one thing I was hoping to avoid.

“You were watching me?!” I aimed the question at Jameson like it was such a scandalous thing. And in truth, I hadn’t really needed to voice it because I knew deep down that he had been.

I was… a lot of things. But I was mostly turned on. What did that say about me?

“I thought that was pretty obvious. I mean… I didn’t knowyou’dcome into that room, but I was hoping someone would at some point. If it didn’t happen… well, I still would have got—”

“No, stop right there. I can’t…” I said shaking my head. The last thing I wanted to hear was how he still would have gotten off with that person he’d been with. I realized I had no right to be acting this way, but I couldn’t seem to stop myself.

“Okay, what is going on right now?” Austin asked and the sound of his voice made me jump.

“Hold the fuck up,” Jen nearly screeched in my direction. “Are you telling me you went to Pike and didn’t fucking take me?!”

I ignore both of them.

“I’m not going to apologize. I’m pretty sure you enjoyed it too,” Jameson said and my jaw dropped to the floor.

“Oh, my God, this is so great. You two are acting all couple-y.”

I glared at my friend. I couldn’t believe he’d just said that.

“No, we’re not acting all… like that,” I balked.

“You’re kind of acting like a jealous boyfriend,” Jen said with a raised brow and I looked over at Jameson only to see a slightly smug expression on his face that said how much he happily agreed with Jen’s statement.

“Fuck you both,” I said in a sulking tone.

“Okay, I’m just going to forget the last five minutes even happened. I think I need to bleach my brain to rid the images that are there now,” Austin said.

“What was the point again?” I did my best to get us back on track. “And remember, both of you signed an NDA.”

Austin nodded and I could tell he took that seriously.

I still didn’t relax.

“Let me see that,” Jameson said reaching for the tablet.

He looked it over, then started searching for something on his phone. We all waited for Jameson to explain what he was trying to put together, the air still around us.

When his eyes shot to mine I felt my heart start to pound in my chest.

“This transaction is for the night we were there. The amount would indicate a one-time guest pass,” he said and I was beginning to put the pieces together.

“She followed me there?” My throat was dry and the room began to spin around me.

“How would she have gotten in?” Jen asked.

“Her step-father?” Austin’s voice was focused, like he was in some kind of work mode that I’d never witnessed from him before. “He seems to be big enough around here, might have connections. Though, I’m not even going to think about how creepy that is that she asked her step-father to get her into a sex club.”

“The woman you were with had the same color hair,” Jameson said and I could hear the tension in his voice. Maybe he was a little jealous too. Or maybe he was just tense about the fact that I had been alone in a fucking room with her. Holy fuck! This just got scary. “Was that her?”

“I… I don’t remember. I wasn’t really looking at her face. Isn’t that like your job, to notice people? Was that her?”

“Um, I only saw the back of her head.”

“Jesus, this is fucked up,” I said as I let my head drop and closed my eyes. I stood and turned toward the door. I couldn’t meet anyone’s eyes and I had to get out of there before I puked. “I need to go.”

I shot out of the room and ran up the stairs. I barely made it to my bathroom before I emptied what little I had in my stomach.

Then I laid down on the cool marble floor.

I was just going to close my eyes for a moment and pray that this would all turn out to be a bad dream.
