“What are you thinking, love, hmm?” Landry asked as he stared into her eyes.
Those damned green eyes of his. He had an intense gaze, very expressive eyes. For a man who’d claimed to be gay when he’d met and married her, he sure as hell could drop her soaking wet panties without an ounce of effort on his part.
“About how fricking busy I am and both loving and hating Leigh for suckering me into this job.”
He smiled. “It is good to have you all home.” He dropped his voice. “I’m sure Cris is thankful to have you both home, as well.”
She snorted. “That’s because you were probably chasing him around here like a horny dog the past couple of days.”
“Love, I’m crushed. I didn’t have to chase him.” He grinned. “He spent a lot of time tied up. Made my job much easier.”
* * * *
Landry had given Cris carte blanche to use Bob whenever and however he wanted today—within the stipulated rules, obviously.
Except Landry had also at every turn managed to get Cris deep into taking care of KC, or playing with her, or siccing KC on Cris in fun just when Cris was about to stalk down the hall and trap Bob in their bedroom for another face-fucking session.
And Cris knew Landry was doing it deliberately to fuck with him.
Making him wait.
Yes, Cris loved Bob, wasinlove with him. The months they’d already spent with him had shown Cris how devoted Bob was to the three of them and KC, how well he’d integrated with the vanilla parts of their lives, not just the kinky ones.
KC loved Bob, and Cris could see Bob loved her as the daughter he’d never had.
There was one little safety net Landry had put into place, of course, to guarantee Cris had it bad for Bob.
Sneaky damn sadist.
Now that Landry had Cris hooked on Bob, Bob was like a goddamned drug Cris couldn’t get enough of. It didn’t help that the fucking sadist used his sneaky wiles and skills with NLP and hypnosis during Tilly and Bob’s absence to make Cris crave fucking Bob’s mouth like a heroin addict overdue their next fix.
As in Landry had set a couple of new triggers in Cris. Triggers he said he’d remove in a few days, but literally, Cris was horny if he didn’t have his goddamned cock inside Bob’s fucking mouth.
A creative sadist with time to play and only one willing victim to inflict his fun upon was a dangerous thing.
Except Cris wasn’t complaining. This was the lightest their house and family had felt since after Sofia’s death.
And even then, it was the brightest Landry’s soul had seemed since marrying Tilly.
If for that alone, that it made Landry happy, Cris would agree to go along with it. Because he knew Landry loved Tilly as much as he did. Cris could focus on the sadist, not on worrying if the sadist was going to hurt Tilly’s heart.
Landry would sooner amputate his own leg than hurt Tilly.
And the even better surprise of what a fantastic father Landry was never failed to bowl Cris over in good ways. A silly, playful side had emerged in the man that Cris had never seen before. Landry had never shown much of an interest in children or babies while they were together. It wasn’t that he’d been anti-kids, but he’d never expressed any great interest in having any of their own, before Tilly.
Now, they had afamily. The kind of family Cris had honestly given up hope of ever having, from when he was a teenager and his father threw him out, the kind of family he’d known Tilly had always wanted and had never been able to give her.
Cris would always mourn Sofia, because she’d been his younger cousin and he’d loved her and at one time felt like she was his only ally in the world.
But he’d never tell Tilly, even if Landry hadn’t already sworn him to secrecy, about the talk Cris had with a friend of Sofia’s when KC was about six months old. Sofia had once stayed with her for a few weeks, and had left a small box of mementoes behind. The friend had located Cris through reading about the lawsuit in the newspaper, and had tracked him down at their office in LA.
A talk that had left Cris doubting every word Sofia had said during her short time with them. The only things Criscouldbe sure of were that Sofia had wanted her baby to have a good life, and Sofia had been clean when she died. There were no traces of drugs or alcohol in KC’s system when she’d been born, either.
But the last time Sofia’s friend had seen her was when Sofia was about five months pregnant. She’d run into Sofia while out grocery shopping.
And Sofia hadn’t acted like a woman in fear of her life that day. She’d been totally alone and had bragged about her boyfriend coming up with a new scam that would put them in the money and away from dealing drugs.
Maybe, at the end, Sofia had truly been in fear of her life from her boyfriend. Maybe something had happened between that encounter with Sofia’s friend, and when Sofia had called Cris’ cellphone and Tilly had picked up because he’d forgotten his phone in the car.
