My breath caught in a shaky, nearly violent inhale, and then everything relaxed. Seb grunted and resumed his strokes, chasing his own orgasm down. His mouth came over mine in deep, wet kisses until he tensed, legs scrambling on the bed and cock pulsing. He gaped, gasping and holding eye contact until he quivered, relaxing back into the cradle of my legs.

We both caught our breath, breathing hard, our hearts racing against each other. A tear fell out of the corner of my eye, and Seb’s face dropped.

“Marce, oh shit, did I hurt you?”

He immediately tried to untangle his hands from my hair.

“Seb, stop, it’s okay. It wasn’t that, I promise.”

He relaxed, but still carefully pulled his hands out of my hair.

“Are you okay?”

I nodded.

“Ha. Words please, Marce. You scared me there.”

I swallowed as Seb traced a finger over my collarbone. “Yes, I’m okay. Way better than okay.”

He grinned at me and rolled us gently to the side. Reaching down, he pulled out, making sure the condom came out too. He stood up and walked into my head, closing the door. The cool air washed over my skin, giving me goose bumps. My heart was still racing, breaths still ragged; did he have to get up so soon?

The water ran in the head, the toilet flushed, and Seb reappeared. Resting his elbows on the bed, he leaned over and gave me a soft kiss, my misgivings falling away.

“Can I stay?”

Sixteen

Royand I spent our entire last day in Split provisioning. While I knew there would be plenty of supplies in Corfu, Split was a bigger city, and it was better to grab as much as we could here before leaving. Roy and I made careful notes, going through our list and writing down things we were having trouble finding.

It was good to have the distraction, something else to think about other than Seb. He had climbed back into bed with me the night before and cradled me to sleep. That morning, he had woken me gently, caressing and kissing until he slipped inside from behind, a slow and warm session before I’d even opened my eyes.

The memories kept popping into my thoughts, no matter how busy I was. But they didn’t linger long.

Between food deliveries, we also made two days’ worth of crew meals. One set we divided up into portions and put into the fridge. The next morning, we would leave early for Corfu, spending all day out at sea. We’d arrive into Corfu at night. Weather conditions were not ideal, and seeing as it was only one day at sea, Roy and I pretty much had the day off, and staff were left to reheat their own meals.

Roy scrubbed dishes as we ran through my menus for the Boyds’ visit. Since he had been with the boat when Natasha and Justin had bought it, he’d assisted the previous head chef during several of their visits.

“What about the crew tomorrow? Who gets seasick, what comfort foods should we put together?”

“Will’s actually the worst, so we probably won’t see him much of the day. He stays in his cabin, even though I tell him he would feel better up top. Everyone else does pretty well. Clarissa eats like a horse, so she’ll want stuff to nibble on throughout the day. Dom likes crisps at night. Umm...”

“How about ginger snaps or something like that?” I asked.

“They’d get eaten, I’m sure.”

“What do you like to do at sea?”

“Usually just read in my bunk. Seb will be in and out all day, so it’s all very interrupted. Although...” Roy put a clean dish down and leaned toward me. “Seb didn’t come home last night. Which is odd, because as drunk as I was, I was pretty sure he came back before I did.”

I didn’t say anything, but my lips twitched trying to hold back a smile and a flush crept up my cheeks. Dang it, Seb was right. There was no sneaking around without Roy knowing.

“Oh. My. God.” He put both of his fists to his mouth. “I knew it. He issointo you.” He slapped a palm over his mouth. “Oops, shit, I didn’t say that.”

Now I had a full smile on and couldn’t help myself. “Well, I’m pretty into him too.”

“I won’t say anything, I swear. I actually can keep a pretty good secret.”

I gave him a skeptical look.
