She laughed again. If he wasn’t so damn fun to be with, she would have an easier time resisting his charms.

Without realizing it, Knox had become an enigma to her.On one hand, she could totally understand why he wasn’t with anyone. His acerbic personality would drive away all but the bravest of women. On the other hand, he was smart, had a wicked sense of humor, and was quick to shut down anyone from getting too handsy with her.Couple that with his ridiculous amount of sex appeal and she had to fight the urge to explore more of that body her fingers had found outside her door.

“You’re a pig,” she announced.

“Without a doubt.”Taking her hand, he grinned down at her before turning back toward the door, tugging her along behind him.“Come on, sugar.Break’s over.”

Walking back in, Greer immediately spotted the men from last night. They had found a table close to the main stage so they could hassle the dancers. She heard Knox growl next to her.Turning around, so she was face to face with him, she laid her hand gently against his chest.

“Go.I’ll point them out to Dex.I promise not to go outside without you.”He took one last look at the men, then looked down at her.“Go,” she repeated. With a grunt, he turned to walk to the back.

Greer sighed in relief. She had no doubt he would wreak destruction all over the men if he saw them getting out of line.Crossing back to the bar, she stopped when the bartender held up a finger to her.Finishing with another customer, he crossed to her.

“That table specifically asked for you,” he said, pointing out the three men.

“Okay, I’ve got it.”Turning, she caught Dex’s eye. With a slight nod at the table, she started across the floor.Dex nodded back subtly before turning back to Tyler.“Gentlemen! You came back. What can I get everyone?”

“You can get us a round of tequila,” the man who had pulled her onto his lap said.Running his hand up the back of her thigh, he added, “Maybe with a little something special on the side.”It took all of her concentration not to slam him in the head with her tray.

“I’m not on the menu,” she said, pushing his hand away with a laugh.“But I’ll be back with your drinks and a round of appetizers.”

Taking the man’s credit card, she walked back to the bar.

“Run this bitch up as far as you can.I’ll keep the booze flowing,” she said to the bartender. With a knowing nod, he stored the card under the counter.

Returning to their table with their shots, she chose to stand on the opposite side of the table from the man.It wasn’t a much better option.

“Where’s your guard dog tonight?”he asked.

“He’s working the back tonight,” she said, knowing full well he was referring to Knox.

“So he’s been kenneled for the night,” the man said with a smirk, drawing a laugh from the rest of the table.Did they really think he was that clever?Greer had to fight not to roll her eyes.“How about you go home with me in that case?”

“Not on the menu,” Greer said again, walking away from the table. It was promising to be a long night.

Checking on patrons as she weaved among the other tables, she made her way to Tyler’s table.

“Some nights this job really sucks,” she said, leaning across the table at them.“Is he still staring at me?”

“Like a piece of meat,” Tyler answered, looking up casually.Greer did roll her eyes this time.

“Well, I can tell you this, it’s going to take a bigger piece of meat than he has to entice me.Oh, speaking of a big dick, here he comes.”Greer tore her eyes away from an advancing Knox when she heard a strangling noise coming from Dex.Tyler reached over to pat him on the back as he coughed into his hand.

Turning, Tyler and Dex took in the giant man, his focus lasered in on Greer as he walked toward them.It was like an intoxicating drug to know someone like Knox was watching over her.

“He, on the other hand, stares at you like you’re some forbidden dessert he knows will add too many pounds but he can’t quite give up,” Tyler said, looking back at Greer.

“Nice imagery.Have you thought about putting it on a card?”Greer said with another roll of her eyes.

“What bad things are you two contemplating?”Knox asked, stopping near the table. He leaned over the rail that separated the seating area from the walkway.

“Who’s the biggest dick,” Greer answered him.

“Who has the biggest dick?Obviously me, thank you for noticing, Miss LeBlanc,” Knox answered, his eyes filled with fiery mischief. He looked over at Dex, who just held his hands up in surrender at him.“Who are we comparing me to?Do I need to kick someone’s ass, because after the night I’m having I could use a little testosterone release.”

“I said, whoisthe biggest dick. You’ve definitely got that one in the bag,” Greer smarted back.

“Are you always this fixated on my dick?”Knox smirked.
