“You should leave.” I told her without looking in her direction.

“I just got here.” Macy chirped. “I thought this was supposed to be a party. Let’s party.”

“I think you’re missing the point.” Demon remarked. “I believe that’s Kid’s way of telling you to walk away now.”

She frowned. “What’s he talking about?”

Mamba growled and turned to her and I knew what was about to happen.

“You did that to hurt her,” I said. “Why?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Macy folded her arms across her chest.

Tilting my head, I shoved my fingers into my pockets. I sincerely hated when people lied to me, especially in situations like this.

“Do you think I’m stupid?” I leveled my gaze on her.

“I never said you were.”

“Then you are.” Mamba stepped forward.

Demon rested a hand on our middle brother’s shoulder.

“Go.” I told her, fighting hard to hold onto my temper. “I can’t deal with a woman who would go out of her way to hurt someone else, like that then lie about it.”

“You like her.” Macy sounded surprised. “You actually think you like her.”

“If you didn’t know who I was talking about, how would you know how I feel?” I demanded.

“She—you think she deserves you?”

“Whether she deserves me or not is none of your business!” I snapped. “You had no right to have done that. Don’t youevertell anyone we’re together again.”

“Kid…”

I squeezed my eyes closed.

“I didn’t want anything but a friendship from you, Macy. And seeing what you just did, seeing you hurt someone so unnecessarily, we can’t be friends.”

“Aren’t you overacting?” Macy asked. “You aren’t fucking her. So why should she care who you walk into a room with?”

“Get out.” I growled. “This his friendship is over.”

“That’s what I was saying!” She cheered. “We have to be more.”

I blinked. “No. We don’t have to be anything. Now, leave.”

“Kid, I’m a much better woman for you.” She reached for my arm, but I shrugged away from her.

She pulled her hand back.

I ignored her expression and walked back to where my brothers were. She’d hurt Nella on purpose and that enraged me more than her claiming to be mine. Once the door swung closed after Macy, I went back to the others.

Mamba was kissing his girl’s neck. She giggled and swatted his arm.

Demon had been watching Macy and I carefully. Chelsea had been trying to get his attention but that didn’t happen until she bounced him with her belly.

Demon laughed. “Sorry, love. Kid, you okay?”
