When we reach the door, this has all the awkwardness of a first date. Even though I knew we were playing pretend, it was fun to imagine that it was real. He moves closer, but he’s more careful, as if he’s unsure what he should do next.
His fingers gently tease my face but he doesn’t forcefully push me towards him, he just lightly grazes my skin and looks into my eyes, gently bringing his head closer to his lips slowly brush against mine and even though it was the lightest of kisses, it was the most tender moment I had experienced with anyone and in that three-second kiss; he took my breath away.
“Goodnight, Ava,” he whispers against my lips.
“Goodnight, Chase,” I whisper back and I watch as he walks away, barely believing that for the first time, he’s not coming in.
He really was a gentleman tonight.
Playing pretend made my heart yearn for more, but as I watched his back until he disappeared out of sight, it made me realise that somewhere between playing pretend; I had found my smile and with that thought; I closed the door and played pretend that he would come back.

THELASTNIGHT
CHASE
The intimate moment I had with Ava made me feel warmth and heat. Our last night in the house was perfect. I wanted to give that to her. Something she could remember, something she could remember with hope. I didn’t just do it for her; I needed something to hold on to when the darkness came and it would come. It was just a matter of when.
I hadn’t intended to go to her tonight. Everything had been so perfect. The meal, the way she felt in my arms as we danced around the room like we were the only people in the house. Everything was perfect. Even when I had dropped her off in her room and the slight brush of her lips against mine when I said goodnight. Perfect. It was the perfect end to a perfect last night.
I lay on my bed with my hands resting behind my head and I could already feel the lack of her presence. I should be holding her in my arms right now, but she is in her room and I am in mine. There was something wrong with this picture. I jumped from my bed and raced out of my room, rushing down the hallway but stopping in my tracks as I saw her racing towards me.
I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t sure if the shock was clear on my face, but it was clear on hers. I walk towards her and her eyes never leave mine, but I see a slip of a smirk appear on her lips. I rush forward and take her face in my hands. I can hear her breath quicken. “Going somewhere?” I smile. She shakes her head as my lips brush against hers, tasting the sweetness from her lips.
Swooping her into my arms, I hear the cutest little giggle fall from her lips. As desperate as I was to have her tonight, I didn’t want to fuck her with feverish passion. I wanted gentle, sweet caresses and to feel the warmth of her skin as it pressed against mine. If this was our last night here, I wanted to savour it as sweet as the day we had.
“Chase, did you need something?” She asks once I walk us both back into her room. The room I should have never left earlier.
“Yes, Ava.” She peers at me through her elongated dark lashes. “I need you.”
The way her body shudders in mine has the desire curling through my body. I want to just devour her, but tonight wasn’t about me. It was about making it special for her. She may have asked me what I needed, but what did she need? I wasn’t the only one racing down that hallway.
“Do you need something?” I ask her as I lay her body against mine, enveloping her in my arms and feeling her hot breath whip against my bare chest.
“Just this.” I feel her smile against my chest. “Just you. This is all I need.” She utters. Not quite the words I had been waiting to hear, but they came pretty damn close.
“Oh, baby, careful now. You’ll make me soft.” I smile as I run my fingertips through her hair and smiling every time a contented sigh would leave her lips.
“I knew you were soft, anyway.” I feel her smirk against my skin.
“Soft?” I can feel my brow rise in annoyance. “Do I need to tickle you again?”
“No, please don’t.” Flipping her over, I see the smirk slip from her lips. “Chase, please don’t.” She pouts. My fingers glide towards her body. “No, no, please—.” I slide my hands up her body and feel her body relax beneath my touch.
“If you don’t like something, I won’t do it.” I watch her eyes glaze over and all I can see is everything she still won’t say to me. Her eyes sparkle as they gaze back at mine and I just get lost in the crystalline magic of her blue eyes.
Sliding my hands further up her body, I hear the groans she’s been trying to stifle. My fingers find the straps of her dress and graze across her bare shoulders. Her body trembles with every brush against her skin. “Oh, baby, I love how you respond to me.” Her face blushes. “Just like that,” I smirk. My lips press against her reddened cheek and I can feel the smile pulling at her face once my lips hit her skin.
Sliding the straps down her arms, I see every inch of her perfect little body as the dress slides down. Moving my body across hers so I can free her from the dress that her beautiful body had filled. Reaching her feet, my tongue slithers and presses against the base of her foot, gliding to her pretty toes. A small giggle falls from her lips. Sliding her toes in my mouth, I suck, massaging my tongue across her pretty toes as they fall in and out of my mouth, and a moan falls from her lips.
My tongue slides out, massaging her feet, and as my eyes peer up at her, I see her eyes fall into the back of her head. A small smile glides across my lips at hearing her erotic moans fill the air as my tongue slips between her dainty little toes. My lips press against her feet, pressing sweet kisses all the way up her feet.
My lips run up her legs, teasing gentle little kisses up her legs. She wiggles her legs when my lips hit her skin, and small contented moans fall from her body. Sliding my fingertips across her legs as I run my lips up the length of her legs.
My fingers tease her face, and I hear a sigh slip from her lips. Looking into her eyes, i just gaze at her. Her beautiful face takes my breath away. I can see her dying to avert her gaze. The longer my eyes linger across her pretty porcelain face, the faster the shyness overcomes her face, and that pretty pink blush stains her cheeks. “Why are you looking at me like that?” She stutters out.
“Why wouldn’t I want to look at you, baby? You’re beautiful.”
