Teeth.
Sex.
And, of course, an Alpha’s knot.
To my shock, the Alpha on the right shattered the silence with words.
“It’s time, Seif. Are you ready?”
Axel had spoken. I blinked a few times, stunned whenSeifreplied.
“Ready,” he agreed.
Surprising me, he backed away.
A ripple in the air shimmered like faint specks of dust.
The void of the room fought against a warped illumination that came from everywhere and nowhere.
And then the darkness exploded with light.
The explosionof Dust that Axel had predicted illuminated our cell, showing me every delicious detail of Gina’s body at my mercy.
She was doing what Amell had said she would do when confronted with two Alphas.
She was accessing the part of her that was special. Not just the Shard she carried, but also hersoul.
Amell had underestimated her. He thought Gina’s power was all because of the Artifact she carried, but I knew that wasn’t true. I needed to learn more about the ancient magic Amell had referred to, the object that Etu was apparently so interested in.
Gina was powerful. That was why the Shard had chosen her. It wasn’t the other way around.
She glowed beneath me and looked up with bright silver eyes as she seemed to struggle with some sort of decision. The control collar hugged her neck, but it was muted as if Amell had turned it off, leaving her Dust to shine bright.
She wore her favorite dress that hugged her curves. Or a re-creation of it. Kodiak had apparently asked Sibyl to assist me with some basics, such as lining my Omega’s closet with custom dresses and ordering napkins with our mate-circle’s emblem on them.
Because Kodiak had faith that our future would work out.
Faith and I didn’t get along, so I hoped he had enough for the both of us.
My Omega seemed defiant yet, at the same time, broken. Fresh rage rippled underneath my skin. She wasn’t supposed to be broken.
And she wasn’t supposed to suffer like she did now.
My nostrils flared as I took in the sweet scent of her slick practically gushing between her thighs.
Tiny, alluring mewls escaped her as she gazed up at me. It seemed that if she took in too much air, it strangled her. So she drew in short pants as she watched me. Her gorgeous blue eyes filled with the silver essence of Dust that flooded the room.
She’d been left to starve.
And all I wanted to do wasfeedher.
Her mouth parted and her tongue darted out, tasting the nectar on her plump lips.
It took every ounce of willpower to keep me from mauling my Omega practically begging for my knot.
Axel had prepared me for this. After Amell’s visit this morning, we’d been given instructions on how to prime her for the extraction of the Shard inside her body.
The first step would be to give her exactly what her body desired.
