I glance over, and Mason gives me a now familiar dark look.

“He’s my boss.Probably worried I’ll run away and not show up on Monday.”

“You work for Mason?”Craig laughs.

“It’s temporary,” I answer briefly, not wanting to go into what my job is.

Most of the people here are stupidly rich and successful.Craig probably assumes I’m a duchess or whatever it is Americans think about notable English people.Huh!There’s definitely no blue blood in my family line.

“Then he must be worried I’m going to corrupt your innocence.”Craig grins.“Because I know Kingsley doesn’t mess around with his employees.”

Shows how much you know.

“Corrupt me?”I spin, wink at him over my shoulder then laugh.“Or will I be the one doing the corrupting?”

He’s not as tall as Mason, but his dark, short blond hair, deep blue eyes and wide shoulders are very attractive.

Yet, I’m not interested in him at all.

“Christ, I won’t say no.”

I chuckle as a familiar warmth envelops me.

“Lexi,” Mason growls behind me.

“She’s off the clock, Kingsley,” Craig says, his voice rich with what he’s got planned for the rest of the night.

I can hear it.

Mason can hear it.

I may have taken this too far with Craig. My goal was to show Mason I hadn’t fallen pathetically in love with him after last night.

Last night...If only I had stuck to my plan.
