I smile, lean over after tossing the tissues in the trash and kiss her.“Clean up.Someone might come in.”

She sits up in a rush.“Didn’t you lock the door?”

I shake my head, chuckling, and as I stride over to it, she calls my name.

“Mason, wait!”

“Gotta go, baby.Let’s talk tonight.”I smile back at the sexy sight behind me.Just before the click of the lock separates us, I hear her curse.

I’m never that foolish in business.

I was in a damn client meeting.

But goddamn, I feel a whole lot better than I did when I walked out of it.When I return, my chest will be bigger, and I’ll know the woman they were all gazing at belongs to me.

Or at least, she’s off the table for anyone else.

What this means about our relationship and Lexi’s role in the company, I don’t know.

Ten minutes ago, the need to fuck her, make sure she knows I am not happy about her being with any other man was all-encompassing.

Raw.

I might regret it later, but in this moment I don’t.

The paranoia that usually haunts me has taken a back seat. It’s still scratching at my mind, seeking dominance, but it can fuck off.

There really is no evidence to prove Lexi is after my money or would kill me to get it.First, she’d need to be married to me, and we both know that is never happening.

Tonight at dinner, I’ll speak to her about a regular friends-with-benefits situation.Exclusive, of course.I don’t want her with any other man.

Then, during the day, she’s my PA.

That would work.

This is bad.

Not the sex. That was amazing. And surprising.

I should have stopped him, but I’m not stupid, and my hormones and ovaries were dancing like they were at Coachella.

Why did he think I slept with Mark?Ew.No offense, but he’s really old, and ew...no.

It appears that Mr.Harrow hasn’t said anything, and perhaps he won’t.

Legally, he shouldn’t.

Legally, he can’t.

Neither can I.

I just need to keep my mouth closed and keep this job.
