“Well, that was fun.” Bea grins. “I just wish Aunt Julia and Courtney had been here to see the look on Melody’s face.”

“It’s all right, sweetheart,” Angel tells her. “I took photos. Nearly cracked the lens of my phone!”

Bea tucks a piece of hair behind her ear and looks up at us all with mischief. “Would it be really crappy of me if I posted those photos on social media?”

“If you don’t,” Axel says, “I’m giving them to Molly, because I know she will.”

Bea’s smile grows wider. “You know, I always thought revenge would make me feel worse. Like when you try to treat a tummy ache with more food. But actually, I have to admit, that felt really, really good.”

“Want to plan some revenge on that ex next, little bird?” Nate asks, still fidgeting with that butter knife. I shake my head and take a sip of my water.

“No, I already got my revenge on him,” Bea says.

“You did?” Nate says, his face falling with disappointment.

“Yes, of course. I’m happy, aren’t I? With six insanely hot men. That is all the revenge I need.”

Angel adjusts his shirt collar. “Hot, huh? I’m feeling objectified here, sweetheart. Are you only with us for Hardy’s abs and Axel’s broody looks?”

“No,” she says, “Nate’s cock ring too.”

I spit my water all over the tablecloth. This woman could hardly say the word pussy when we first met her. One month of living with us in our nest and her mouth has turned a hell of a lot more dirty.

I pat my mouth, staring at hers.

Oh, yeah, that mouth of hers has been up to all sorts of dirty things.

“Sweetheart,” Axel says, “you’re breaking my heart here.”

“Poor baby,” she says, laying her palms gently above his healed wound. “You know I love you for your other qualities too, right?”

“Like …” I prompt.

Hey, we’re only human, and maybe hearing our omega talking us up is a massive ego boost we can’t resist.

“Hmmm,” she teases. “Brave, smart, kind and …”

“And?”

“And … all mine.”

“You bet, sweetheart,” Axel says, nuzzling her neck, “all yours. You want us to show you just how much we’re all yours?”

“I thought we were going to eat?” Hardy says, drooling over the menu.

“You can eat me,” the omega purrs.

Hardy looks up from his menu. “Let’s go,” he says, and the seven of us jump up as one, striding out of the restaurant and back out into the sunshine, heading for my favorite place in the whole damn world. The beach, our nest, our own little piece of heaven.

“Ready?”Courtney asks me.

I peer out of the nest window towards the lawn. It’s been cut, rolled and flowers planted all along the beds. Plus, Courtney and Molly spent yesterday hanging ivory and lilac ribbons in the branches of the great oak tree and the smaller beech. It looks like a bouquet exploded out there in the garden, but I love it. It’s over the top and crazy. Just like our pack.
