“Thanks Tina.It’sfabulous.”
“We’ve got to get someclothing now.”Ariel admitted.
Bindi couldn’t imagine where.They wentright back to Ariel’s house.“Why here?”
“We don’t have time to goto Branson.I’ve got a closet full, and I know some will work foryou.”They were in Ariel’s room now looking through her closet.Ariel pulled out a black dress, a purple business suit with askirt, a brown suit with pants, and three pretty shirts to wearwith them.Jeans, shirts, a jacket, and a pretty top.
“What size shoes do youwear?”
“Six and a half.”Bindireplied.
“Try these.They are tootight on me.I need to see if Marissa is home.”Ariel made a quickcall and came back.“She’s on her way with the rest that we need.Let’s bag this up and get a drink and a snack while wewait.”
Bindi was in shock.“I can’t take allthis.”
“Sure, you can.I was aboutto clean out my closet any way.I buy new things every three to sixmonths.”Ariel replied.
They had it in two large bags thenAriel led her to the kitchen where they got a drink and a piece ofcherry pie.“This is good.”
The pie was gone by the time Marissaand Damon came in.He was helping her carry some packages.“I’mhere to save the day.I have a pair of sky high black heels with amatching clutch.There’s a brown pair of one inch heels also with amatching purse.One pair of slip ons in navy with a matching bag.Also, some hosiery, underwear, and surprise lingerie in the lastbag.I hope that’s all that was needed?”Marissa said.
“Damon, could you put thatin Duroc’s truck, the back seat, please?”Ariel asked.Of course,he did.“I have an old set of suitcases I bet you coulduse.”
“This is toomuch.”
“Can you believe her matedropped a trip to meet his family on her today?”Arielasked.
“Mates just don’tunderstand what we females have to go through.”Marissa agreed.“Don’t you worry about what’s too much.Someday, I believe you’llbe in a position to help someone who really needs it.Maybe severalsomeones.Just help them.We all need to do more ofthat.”
“Did you see that?”Bindiasked.
“You know we can’t talkabout that.But if you need help in the future because of newresponsibilities, we’re always glad to help you.”Marissapromised.
Bindi headed back to Duroc with herhead full of questions and her truck full of new things to pack fortheir trip.When she got out, Duroc who had come out to greet her,stared.It took her a moment to remember she looked different.“Igot my hair cut.”
“You look amazing.”Durocadmitted.
“I also got some things andneed help carrying them in.”
Just like a guy, he managed to get allbut a couple things and looked weighed down.She grabbed thoseitems then ran ahead and got the door so he could get inside.Hedropped the goods on the couch, and she did as well.Tonight, shewould need everything packed so she began right now.
She picked out something to wear on theplane and it was jeans and a nice top.Bindi even picked outsomething to change at the airport into in order to make a goodimpression on his folks.It was true she was nervous about meetingthem no matter how Duroc tried to assure her they were just people.Those things she put in the larger bag including the shoes thatmatched that bag.
Bindi might worry that she could be themate Duroc needed, but she refused to allow anyone to see it.Theimpression she made on his parents might last a lifetime and shewanted it to be the best possible one.This last minute trip wasn’teasy for her, but she would stand up to the challenge and make noexcuses.
There was makeup in her drawer as wellas jewelry.Those she planned to take she put in a small bag thenin the large suitcase except for what would be used tomorrow whichwent in her bag.The poor bag was about as full as it could get butshe still had a wallet and a few other things to add.
Once her two suitcases were packed, shetook them out to the living room.Duroc would load them when heloaded his.She took her ereader too with earplugs since she hadsome audio books on it.Bindi looked around to be sure she had whatshe needed.Yeah, that was it.
They went to bed determined to get agood night’s sleep to prepare for a busy day.Duroc was still awakewhen she went to sleep.In the morning, he still looked tired.Perhaps he was concerned and didn’t want her to know?If so, was ither meeting with his parents or something else that caused thisanxious outlook?
She dressed and Ariel’s jeans and topfit well but were just a tad loose.It was a good fit for someoneactive.The makeup she put on lightly and the bracelet Duroc hadgiven her went on her right arm.This was more for good luck thananything else.Bindi didn’t wear much jewelry or makeup since itgot in the way when she worked hard.
“Are you ready?”Durocasked.
“Yes, I’m coming.”Shegrabbed her bag, looked to make sure everything was full, andheaded out behind him.
It wasn’t far to Ariel’s new airport.She’d gotten some level land in the last batch she’d bought.Thehouse on the property she rented to someone in her pack.The planesitting there was one the of the better ones Tyne rented from timeto time.”One of Tyne’s planes?”
