“Anytime, girl. Just tell me when and where. I’m always down.”

Once her car arrived, I got her inside, said my goodbye, and then headed for the parking garage where the Escalade was parked. As I neared, I sent Sean a text:

Getting in the car now. Be there soon

Good

After parkingin Sean’s guest spot, I hurried to the elevator and then up to his floor. I knocked and a few moments later, the door opened.

“Hi.” I smiled.

“Hi.” Sean grabbed my hand and tugged me into his condo. Once the door was closed, he pushed me against it and claimed my mouth with his. When we pulled apart, he asked, “Hungry?”

I shook my head. “Ate a burger with Camille.”

“Okay. Can I get you a glass of wine or a beer?”

“Either is fine.” I followed him toward the open kitchen.

He went to the fridge and pulled out two bottles of Stella Artois.

“Do you like this beer, or do you just have it for me?” I asked as he popped open the green bottle and handed it to me.

“It’s not bad, but I got it because I know you like it.”

“Thank you.” I smiled warmly and took a sip. “But we can drink what you like too.”

“It’s fine.” Sean waved me off. “But I wouldn’t mind something stronger.”

“Oh?” I cocked my head slightly.

“Walked in on Ryan and Jasper fooling around when I got home. Still can’t get that image out of my head.”

My eyes widened. “Seriously?”

He nodded. “Yeah. I didn’t see anything other than the compromising position they were in, but still it wasn’t something I really wanted to see.”

“Maybe you just need to replace that image with one of your own,” I suggested with a sly smirk.

Sean took a sip of beer and then set the bottle on the counter. He moved closer to me and then ran his finger down my chest. “I’d rather do more than what they were doing.”

“So, does this mean you’re okay with what we talked about last time?”

He met my stare. “About you and my son?”

I nodded. “Yeah. I wasn’t sure if that would change things.”

“He confirmed ‘sex is just sex’.”

“The sex with me?”

Sean shook his head. “I didn’t mention you specifically.”

“Oh. That’s good.”

“I’m not ready to tell my son—or anyone for that matter—what we’re doing.”

“Me either,” I admitted. I wasn’t ashamed of what we were doing, but I liked the sneaking around. Being sneaky made me feel things deep inside that made me giddy. If people found out about us, I didn’t want them to think I was sleeping with the boss to get ahead, because that wasn’t the case at all. Sean Ashford was drop-dead gorgeous, and I wanted to devour every inch of him every fucking day. Plus, I liked making him laugh. When he did, it made me happy.
