He lifted his foot no higher than two inches in the air before clenching his eyes and
gasping through his teeth in pain, gently resting it back down. ¡°I¡¯ll be riding again in two,
three days tops.¡±
I choked out a whimper and a laugh before my eyes shifted behind the bar. Both Crow
and Ripper stood with straight faces, each grave and drinking beer. Giving me a similar
nod that I gave Evelyn, they saluted me with their bottles.
Finally, my eyes fell on Tank. He looked devastated, like a grieving father, and

I nodded over to the guys and quickly, Tank and Crow rushed to my side. Standing
back, I said, ¡°Slowly¡¡± as they gently flipped him over and adjusted him, so he faced the
ceiling.
We all stood quietly, watching Isaac, them hoping he¡¯d make any movement, but I
knew better. ¡°It¡¯ll be a while until he wakes up¡ If¡¡±
Gulping hard, I couldn¡¯t handle finishing the sentence. They all knew what I meant,
anyway. I shouldn¡¯t have said it, but I wasn¡¯t thinking.
¡°Do you¡ do you¡¡± Ripper started saying but couldn¡¯t get the words out and Crow
