The elevator door opens up on the third floor and she walks out, flipping her right hand middle finger at him.
Niko’s beautiful mint green eyes glow, and the silver specks flash bright. He clenches his jaw tight, closing his eyes and then opens them again. He trembles and looks up at the elevator doors. He anxiously watches the number turn to four.
“Hell yes!”
He exits the elevator and walks down the hall towards the last door. He knocks at the door and looks out the window at the dark sky. The meteors are falling like raindrops.
“What the fuck is going on? I didn’t know that some type of astronomical event was taking place here.”
Andrei opens the door before taking a step back. His forehead is furrowed and his dark greens eyes glow. He nods his head to the left for Niko to step inside.
“Come on. We don’t have time,” snarls Andrei.
“Fuck!”
“Yeah, fuck! You don’t fucking know what’s happening,” says Andrei, walking into the living room. He looks over at Liza, who’s crying. He walks over to her. He falls onto the sofa and hugs her.
“Babe, don’t cry. We’ll help you locate Sofia Rose.”
Liza pushes away from him and jumps up to look at them. She raises her hands up to her hair and pushes the locks back from her huge eyes. Her golden brown silver specks flash.
“Okay, I’m leaving. I can’t wait anymore. Every minute is crucial. I don’t feel her and I’m scared!”
“What the fuck! Where is Sofia Rose?” asks Niko, walking over to Liza. He glares at her, clenching his fists at his sides to control his urge to shake her for answers. His eyes glow bright and he clenches his jaw tight.
Andrei walks over to Liza and takes her in his arms. He glares at Niko and then looks down at her, smiling a small reassuring smile.
“Babe, tell us why you’re so scared. Tell us all about you and Sofia Rose. We can help you.”
Liza gazes into his eyes, falling into his soul. She trembles and shakes her head.
“I don’t know if you will believe me. I’m not crazy.”
“Babe, I promise that we will never think that.”
Liza looks over at Niko, wide-eyed. She bites her lower lip. She walks over to the window and hugs her stomach. She frowns as she looks out into the dark night. The small meteors fall like fairy dust. She looks down at the chaos in the town square.
What’s the worst thing that could happen? They will think that I’m crazy. I’ve never told a human about us. I need help. Maybe they can. Okay.
She turns to look at them, leaning against the window frame.
“Okay, I’m an Elemental Fairy Guardian. My sole job is to guard Princes Sofia Rose. Today I fucked up. I was too busy following my heart.”
“Fuck!”
Niko walks over to Liza, impatient to learn more. He glares at her.
“What are you saying?” asks Niko.
Andy walks over to her and takes her into his arms, smiling. He holders her tight, raising his hand up to wipe her tears.
Liza shakes her head and pushes her hands against his hard chest.
“No, Andy, I have to talk and I pray that you believe me. I’m not sure what’s happening down there, but it looks crazy. I can’t feel or see Sofia Rose. I’m going down there to look for her. It’s my job to shield her!”
“Liza, I need you to explain what you just said. You must be joking! Sofia Rose is a fairy and not just any fairy, but a Princess Fairy?”
Liza compress her lips tight. She squints her eyes, and nods.
