Sofia Rose raises her right hand and points at him, shaking.
“Yes, especially me. Sweet baby, you’re my mate. Your spicy violet scent pushes my limits of control. I can’t resist you!”
He takes a step closer to her, gazing into her huge violet eyes.
Sofia Rose raises both hands up in front of her to stop his advance.
“Stop!”
Niko stops and moves his hands to his sides, fisting his hands. He raises his right eyebrow, waiting for her to continue.
“I don’t know what to believe. I know that you are my heart’s desire and yet I know that you’re fighting it!”
She moves her hands up to gather her hair and tie it in a knot.
Oh hell, I need to feel somewhat put together. I need to look and feel confident. He has the power to make me forget everything.
“Oh my sweet fairy goddess! I have my powers now! I remember! I have my powers of fire!”
Sofia Rose closes her eyes and bites her lower lip, trembling. Her eyes move rapidly below her eyelids, recalling what happened in the cave. She moves her hands up to her temple, rubbing her forehead.
Sweet fairy goddess! Everything is so damn confusing. I was barely conscious, but I remember my brother being there. I know it was not a dream. That was my brother, Prince Dion! My sire, my King wants me home. Niko didn’t listen and brought me here to his home. Why? What the fuck! I don’t understand him! He disappears and returns like it’s nothing. Not!
Suddenly, her huge violet eyes open and she looks at Niko. She raises her right hand and points at him, shaking her finger.
“Fuck! You brought me here to your home instead of allowing my brother to take me home! At least I would be with my family! You don’t seem to care about me!”
Niko clenches his jaw tight and shakes his head. His dark black lock falls over across his forehead.
“I love you!”
“Yeah?”
Niko takes another step towards, his eyes gazing into hers, searching for her feelings. He frowns and tilts his head to the side, confused.
“Why?” asks Sofia Rose.
“Why?”
“Yeah, why did you disappear? Where did you go? I need answers.”
“Sweet baby, I told you that I had to take care of some business.”
“Yeah, but everything happened so quick. I don’t know much about you and what I do know only leaves me wanting to learn more.”
“Sweet baby, I understand. I’m sorry. I was under a lot of pressure and deadlines.”
Sofia Rose shakes her head and moves her arms to cross them under her beautiful breasts. She looks down and compresses her lips in a tight line.
“Damn it!”
She walks over to the bed and pulls the sheet off. With trembling hands, she wraps the sheet around her body, turning to glare at him. She quickly ties it at the side.
“I’m so pissed off at you! I don’t know anything and you seem to just take it for granted that everything is okay. I understand that you’re my boss, but our relationship is more than just employee employer!”
