“Oh,” he said with a smirk, “you want details.”

I shrugged and took a bite of my croissant. Once I swallowed, I said, “Maybe just a little more.”

“I love the feel of your body pressed against my skin when I’m deep inside you, the taste of your pleasure…” he said, thankfully not going any further than he had.

I cleared my throat as I suddenly became incredibly aroused. “Okay. I didn’t mean sex related. The last thing I want is for you three to start describing what you love about that and have it become a strange competition on who does it better.”

He shrugged with a smug smile stretching his lips. “I think we all know who would win that one.”

Declan and Gunnar laughed.

I shook my head and held up my hands, waving them in front of me as I tried not to laugh. “I got the point, let’s move on.”

Declan raised his hand. “I would like to go next.”

I took a drink of my juice and looked toward Declan. “Be my guest.”

He smiled and tossed a teasing glare at Gunnar.

I giggled. “Play nice.”

“No fun,” Declan said, but he smiled, and I sighed wistfully. “I love that you aren’t the typical woman. You have dreams, desires, a brain you know how to use, and I love that you know exactly what you want.”

I smiled.

Gunnar cleared his throat. “I’m going to say what they both are too scared to mention. But I love that you have curves. You’re not skin and bones.”

I laughed.

“That’s not all, of course,” he added.

Once my laughter settled down, I said, “Please, do continue.”

“You’re strong, stubborn, and goal-focused. You love to eat, which is everything I love in a woman. But you also have that something that makes you stand out above all the rest. A certain something that has no word or title.”

“Poetic,” Declan said.

“You both know it’s true. You’ve felt it too,” Gunnar said.

“Felt it?” I asked.

They nodded. “It’s an air about you. A sort of energy that was enough to pull King from his lowly hovel in the dungeon. And that’s saying something.”

“Watch it, bear,” King said jokingly.

The men laughed.

I watched them interact with each other this entire time, and it was like something had shifted between the three of them. And for the better. The mood and interactions are all different. Almost lighter. Like they had formed a bond over the past few months.

“Now that we told you how we all feel about you, we will wait patiently for your decision,” King said.

“Well, sort of,” Declan added.

I chuckled.

“Speak for yourself, sir,” Gunnar added, feigning insult.

I laughed a little harder. “You guys didn’t need to butter me up with your confessions of love or even this amazing breakfast. I had already made my decision.”
